Will you be donning a boater too?

If so you'll be sitting at a table on your own, right at the back, in the dark, near the door, next to reception at another hotel.

Which will be handy as he'll be sitting next to you !!

FWD, call me !!

Just bought the DJ!
Now I need to choose and appropriate bow tie.
Wheres a good place to go for a fine selection?
The ones I have seen so far were pretty lame.

not being funny, but it is strictly dresses/gowns for the ladies isn't it? It's just the G/F is asking....that's if she's still going...

I have a vague memory of attending a similar function a few years ago with a young lady who wore a velvet trouser suit instead of a ball gown. As I recall, she didn't bother with a bow tie, which would have looked a bit daft without a shirt/blouse.. Caused quite a stir..

Why did it cause a stir?

Probably because it was just a jacket fastened with one or two buttons and nothing else

This could be a daft question, but...

Chaps, is it acceptable to have a silver pocket watch with gold cufflinks?

If not I need to get me some new cufflinks!

Bought my suit last week and I must admit I think I can still carry it off, although the need to wear my pocket watch has forced a waist coat purchase which is not ideal.
