Apparently there is now a waiting list for rooms at the hotel - she has put her name on the list about 3 people are in front of her. Hopefully some others will get cancelled (non BTaP rooms of course

I am bringing a single girlie friend as well (told her she'd have the time of her life!!), and she found a room at the Marriott, about 15-20 mins away. maybe try them if Staverton's list is too long??

My friend just called me - the hotel rang her to say that a single room had become available which she has now booked.

Thanks everyone for your suggestions and help - seems like the cancellation list has come through for us
