The raffle will now include a track day on the Grand Prix Circuit at Silverstone in 2004 thanks to www.goldtrack.co.uk

There will be 185 of us at BTaP this year. I'd really like to raise £2000 for Cancer Research from the raffle, so please bring plenty of readies as we have some fantastic prizes and it's only right that we dig deep to reflect that.

Top news, really amazed at the things poeple are donating for the raffle... some seriously cool prizes.

As many PH'ers will know, Cancer is a subject that is a bit "too close to Home" for me personally, so I'll be digging deep...

Ted any chance of not grouping the prizes together so much this year, I know it was great for the winners last year

How about a lucky dip, you must have got nearly 150 prizes, sell 150 tickets at £15 each, and everyone gets something, just a thought

I will split them up a bit more so that the mega prizes are seperate but the danger is otherwise that the raffle will take too long.

We don't have a guest speaker this year though so we do have a bit more time to play with.

I'd speak, but that would be really bad for business, really quickly, plus I talk complete b0llocks even though I don't drink, plus I've got nothing of interest to talk about.

Also, Mrs Brazzi has asked where are the raffle prizes for folks (I'm sure she'll be the only one at BTaP) who aren't maybe totally obsessed with cars and car related prizes. (if she reads this, I'm dead ) And she really does not want to win the bedtime automotive reading prize.
LB

Ted - are the prizes raffled off on a first win first choice basis... that way people can choose what prizes they want to win and Mrs Brazzi can opt for something other than the automotive bedtime reading

With this number of prizes we have to keep it simple.

There will be 6-10 groups of prizes which will be awarded in order of tickets drawn. Then follows the horse trading in the bar

This would put me off buying tickets rather than encourage it, more groups means more chance of winning something

>> If you said £20 and you're guaranteed something or £5 a ticket and one of 6 prizes you'll get either £40 (for two prizes) or £10 (for 2 tickets) from me

I know it must be difficult, just telling you what I'll be doing

Will the band not be doing 2 sets, can't you do the top raffle prizes in that half an hour

PS feel free to delete my posts, I'll get you a beer on Saturday

Put a sock in it mate, I already give to charidee

All I'm saying is just like the lottery I'm less tempted by the longer odds

At the end of the day Ted is going to do just what he wants, I'm just saying what he can expect from me. If everyone thought the same you'd make more money that way

I may be an isolated case, I don't care, my comments have raised comments like....

"that's a good idea"

"I'm going for a walk"

and "dig deep you tight bastard"

If I think I can be constructive, I'll try not to comment in future
