Having a six bedroom house doesn't prevent you from being council...

Considering one of these at the moment as my 2.2SRI decided to die on me last week! Probably a black one as my SRI is the same colour and the bodywork is very good condition so can swap and parts over.

Stuck between one of these or a DTI SRI. Heard that the DTI's are unreliable though? there's a GSI for sale which i am looking at but has a VXR turbo so not sure if that's better then the original or not?

Any ideas?

Yes. The turbo is a fairly weak spot on them and a lot of people replace them with the newer VXR version when they go as it's supposed to be a bit stronger.

Yeah i read somewhere that due to the pressure put through them that the oil seals leak pretty quickly? Swaying more towards DTI as i do the odd long trip with kids etc but after going in a GSI, it's hard to resist one. Have found one online which has the VXR turbo on and all the rest from factory for a cool £2000.

Decisions...

If you are from cornwall how do you find using the weird handbrake with 6 fingers?

Zafira A GSI turbo and Zafira B VXR are the fastest MPVs in Europe, both stock can do 0-60 in around 7.2-7.4 seconds as stock, modded ones can do it in 5-6 seconds, most people mod them and they go faster. The fastest Zafira has 611BHP. Zafira came with FLEX7 seating which was very practical and I found it very useful, Zafira is also the best selling MPV in Europe. Most people I heard bought it enjoyed the car a lot, I plan on buying Zafira GSi or VXR someday.

Vauxhall have always made a cracking engine...the c20xe is still a favourite.

What are modern fast Vauxhall engines like these days in terms of reliability?

I had a Vxr zafira in stock and iit was a hoot, i quite liked it. Serious question though. In a world where everyone obsesses about airbags ncap etc etc, why would anyone choose to put their most precious possessions in a vehicle with their heads a matter of inches from the rear most point of the car? I have 3 kids, but am not a namby pamby worrier on these things but lost of people are...do they not think anout it? If i had 4 kids i would want something with a bit of space behind the 3 row of seats.

I am not too sure, I have not driven the newer ones but I heard the new Astra is pretty solid and Jeremy Clarkson said the new Zafira Tourer is impressive, said it was the most comfortable car in the world and it had a good punch
