Ok guys and girls, does anyone have a VX220 as there only car ?
And how does it hold up in day to day use ?
Im seriously considering one at the moment.
From what ive heared after perchasing the thing its pritty cheep to run.
Service every 10k at 150 quid
tyres every 15k at 400 - 500 a set
Brake pads at around 20k miles 200 for front and rear.
Am i wrong ?
Or is this a cheap car to run ?

Don't have any problems. 3-4 mile commute on weekdays, various jaunts at the weekend

Annual service (with my dealer discount card) is £108, others have quoted £120 - £160, depends on the dealer.

Depends on how hard you drive. I'm on my second set, mileage is currently about 35k. Full set was £390 from Bracknell Tyres.

Second set again, were around £150 fitted.
Other costs...
Mpg is somewhere around 26/27 but could be a lot better on longer/motorway runs.
Insurance isn't too bad (Group 17 I think), mine was £520 last year (Fully comp., 3 years no claims, 38yr old driver, Hampshire postcode).
Yes, a VX is a very cheap sports car to run.
What TJA said, but I'd add that it is unlikely on a Turbo that you will see 15k miles from the rear tyres. Probably more like 10k I would guess. 
To give you an idea of the MPG on a trip, I have just completed a 2,500 mile trip around France, and on Autoroute, at a "good speed" I was seeing 35mpg.
Its a great car, I'm enjoying every mile.

Not exactly the same animal but I have had an S1 Elise from new for 5 years and covered 83,000 miles.
My opinion is that you must have a hard top for the winter. The cloth will let the heat out when it gets cold. With the hard top you keep nice and toasty warm in the depths of winter and snow.
When it is icy treat the accelerator with total respect.
The engine is different but the build is the same. The only issue I have had is the throttle linkage under the dash.
From past experience I used to have a 16v Cavalier, here the cam bearings used to need to be replaced after about 50K. Don't know if this goes for the VX as well?
