A word of warning on the cheaper end of the market though - get the car HPI'd! Lots (in fact, nearly all) of the 11-13k cars on Autotrader are cat D/C. There's also one LHD car, and an "ex-trackday" car (probably PalmerSport) which I wouldn't touch with a bargepole...

That'd be my biggest tip, to be honest. Look on the owner's club board, as the cars history will be well known, and it'll have been looked after.

Can't say I'm surprised there's a 13k car on there now - at a guess, is it Commander Keens?
