Remove xenon headlamp

Hey
So it's a zafira b with a damaged nearside headlight. It's the 16pin xenon. I have a pair of std headlights in the garage in black which I'd like to fit instead.
Can I somehow cut the larger connection off the harness and hard wire a std size plug to hookup the lights?
Is the downgrade possible?
