Considering purchasing a VX220, would love some feedback from owners or past owners on basically what the cars like! I know lotus had a lot of input in the build of the car sharing parts with the elise etc but lotus usually means lots of trouble usually serious!! is the vx220 very reliable??? running costs??? any feedback would be much appreciated! The answer to that question is

www.vx220.org.uk

Job done, there is a wealth of experience and information on there and a fair few nice cars for sale as well!

My VX220...don't know how typical the costs are but it should give you some idea.

NA or Turbo?

Running costs for a car of this calibre are comical.

£150 a service (annually or every 12K)

Cheap to buy and truly blistering performance.

Stage 2 Turbo can embarrass a 996C4 or 360...

My running costs can be found here. Cracking little car, cheaper to run than an Elise, and faster to boot. Currently looking to buy another one (assuming I can sell the BM within a reasonable timeframe!).

Mine had the odd issue to be honest, but it's the exception rather than the rule. My mate's VX has been running for two years now and needed nothing apart from tyres and the yearly service. Other VX's are similarly reliable - the engine and running gear are bullet proof.

cheers for the feedback, i will have a look at the other webpage. sounds like i could be on the way to getting one. More than likely be a NA over the turbo due to insurance purposes etc. thanks a lot! PHIL

They are a great choice, they do give much more expensive cars a fright. I will have one soon, hopefully pretty soon after graduation
