Hi all, I'm thinking of getting a performance filter for my Vauxhall Corsa sxi 2007, 1.2. I know it's not the best car but gonna have it for awhile till I'm able to get something better, is still a sweet ride anyways the car already has a little noise when accelerating as it's the sxi version and that's what I love about it and runs smooth just want a bit more extra noise to it. I have been doing some research and found different type of filters, been looking at universal ones for like £50 -£80 but then I came across this :

https://www.amazon.co.uk/Filters-57-0663-Car-Perfo...

It's a bit more expensive then the usual filter but is it better to get something that's suited for specific range of cars than the universal or there's no difference? Also is there any cons doing this as I heard it creates some sort of issues to the engine?

This won't go well.....

I used to have the k&n kit on cars, not a universal one though, very good quality filter.

It won't add any power, may sound a little louder but on that engine it won't be a pleasant sound.

To be honest, if its a bit more sound you want, you would be better with a proper stainless exhaust. But obviously it won't be cheap.

If it’s an oiled filter and if your car has a MAF it can cause problems, you’d be better asking on a Vauxhall specific forum to be honest, you’ll just get sarcasm from dheads on here.
