Nevlock retainer stem seals failure?

Hi all made a post in the engines and drive train section regarding a smoking astra H vxr

I'm having issues trying to work it if the nevlock retainer stem seals have failed prematurely

Basically they were fit 12months ago and I've covered less than 10k

I'm well aware that the oem standard seals can pop back off the valve guides in a relatively short time period

But my question is has anyone had experience with the nevlock retainer style stem seals failing within a short period of time ?

The reviews on the nevlock retainers are very positive so I'm reluctant to pull it all apart again to investigate further unless I have no choice
