If we're on Pistonheads I suppose we ought to talk about schoolboy subjects.

How's the TVR, TT?

Referring to the CC bit? No, just a tragic accident with my middle initials. My father's name and my grandfather's name. Now people think I'm some sort of sad bastard petrolhead.

Fab now that I can use pretty much all of the revs. I think even you would be impressed by the noise it makes. It's not idling properly when it's cold though

Oh well. At least it hasn't blown up yet. I'm sure I would like the noise. There is an awful lot about TVRs to like - floor mounted pedals for one. Perhaps I just don't understand them. And I still think the wedges look better.

I've just noticed that they have a Gilbern section on here. I like them.

Must admit I do love the pedals as well - throttle pedal has a nice long travel on it and you can tell it's not fly-by-wire like the VX is. Brakes are very good as well

I'm going to look at Gilbern cos I don't have the faintest idea what they are

i had to look too. they don't make them like they used to. my old vw beetle had floor peddles. i say floor peddles at least until the pan rotted through, then they were just peddles.

Gilberns were likeable little cars and look nothing like Bristols.

Young people today.

Timbo, there's a difference between floor mounted pedals and an accelerator pedal that is permanently welded to the floor

St. st. self tappers are fairly easy to get. Even Screwedupfix sell them.
