Sorry for the shameless plug, but Ive been having a discussion with the Noble bods about a design of tubular chargecooler that I distribute on my site, www.chargecooler.co.uk, and I realised that the original fitment of the VX intercooler could be substituted with this unit, and I was made aware that the VX suffers very high charge temps, 50+?..

It seems you lot run alot more boost when tuned than the Nobles, so you may reap more benefits from this..

PH Noble topic here : www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?p=1&f=26&t=268730&h=0

Can anybody tell me any fitment issues or problems (or solutions) they have found on the VX?

Cheers

David

as far as I know most people will just go for exhaust and remap. but yes there are quite a few people that will go the whole hog and get a charge cooler as engine temps are the biggest issue even as standard. (some go even further and get hybrid turbos, big brakes etc etc etc spending thousands)

This is a enthustiasts car and both thorney and courtenay are highly respected amongst us vx owners. People dont mind paying a bit of money if they feel there cars will be well looked after and the product is top quality and has proven gains etc.

Dont hurt to browse the vx forums, im sure you wouldent get kicked off just for asking questions? Its only when you start trying to sell that you may be asked to give some cash to the site. (im not admin or anything so dont know)

hope that helps a bit

best of luck

Joe

where abouts are you locacted?

The only other problem with the vx220 turbo is that the AMM is very fragile so adding a performance air filter will blow it.
