Hello everyone, am possibly considering changing my Sierra RS500 for a different car, and the VX220 is in the list of possibilities. To that end I have a few questions:

1. Is there a lot of difference between the Turbo and the NA models, such as handling, performance etc...
2. What sort of costs are incurred for routine servicing?
3. My budget will be about 15K, maybe atouch more, so I could get either model, but is the turbo worth the extra outlay?

Thanks

Lee

The NA vs VXT debate is a long one...

I've had a std NA, VXT and modded NA. For me the modded NA was the best - it wasn't the fastest thing on the road / track (I doubt any VX would be, even a nutted 300bhp modded VXR) but the handling on the NA was just that little bit better.

Have a look over on www.vx220.org.uk, or www.type116.com

Any of them are fantastic cars.

What I meant was that a commited driver in another car (be it a hot hatch / rally rep / etc) would probably be able to keep a VX behind it.
Also there is a growing crop of cars (super or otherwise) that are quicker on a straight line - especially against a std NA, as well as nutter 300bhp jobbies.
