Could anyone give me an idea of the market value for the UK market (either to sell privately, or to trade) of a 2003 SVT Mustang Cobra convertible - perfect condition in metallic grey, 6,000 miles, 390 bhp model - may have the opportunity to purchase one, but not sure what they're worth over here.

I guess an importer would ask around £27.5k, you should be able to import one yourself for about £22.5k. Private sale probably mid-way between those two figures

What it's worth depends on how much premium you'd pay to avoid the hassle of diy importing

hope this helps

Mike,

Thanks - yes that information is really helpful - had a chance to drive one for a few days whilst on holiday in Texas - what a machine - 390 bhp is in supercar territory - would need to build up the muscles in my clutch leg a bit though - and you would certainly need to keep your wits about you in wet weather!

....Audi TT 1.8 litre turbo or Mustange Cobra 4.6 litre supercharged - I know which side the steering wheel would be on given the choice!

Perfect place to drive one - as you say, the back end can be quite lively in the wet, cornering in snow is an adventure...

cheers
