So who has ordered the new S550 Mustang?
Discussion
I think the chance of 0% APR being offered is probably 0% on Mustang. The majority i believe are planning to pay outright , and a few waiting for MGFV's to be released to use Options. They should of been released last week but have been looked again apparently. I guess its hard to judge a value of car we havent had experience of in this country yet.

Will there be a deposit allowance when taking Acquire?
If you spec up a Focus ST for instance to £30k, you get the 6.8% but also a £1425 deposit allowance offsetting the slightly higher than average interest rate.
The Focus ST is a hard car to sell without some sort of incentive financially to help sell them. Hence why they get a FDA along with nearly all the other cars in the ford range. Rather than comparing Mustang to a ST , its more like the RS focus in 2008/09 where all we sold were at list price and if finance required it was a "fair" rate rather than a subsidised rate. I managed to sell about 50 in total and people were sometimes "fighting" over who would get to buy the car. I don't imagine mustang will end up like that once the initial hype has died down. What's the reason for the higher interest rates? Wouldn't it just make you better off getting a bank loan?
I guess its down to the fact the cars are selling very well anyway, and low rates aren't needed to help sell them at this point. 6.8% isnt too bad though at least. If people want to get a bank loan then thats their choice. Gone are the days of fighting to get people to take finance now the new FCA rules have kicked in for dealers. The contract on the car needs to match the marketing for the finance. But on the basis you haven't ordered yet (so your "new price" anyway) you might find something else comes on in Q1 2016. I'm only speculating so don't take it as gospel.
I've taken "orders" for the new RS already even though there are very little official detail available yet. If you get any more specific questions feel free to ask and ill attempt to find out. And if you decide you want to order one feel free to give me a shout.
For me, i think id take a mustang. Ive done the 4wd drive rally car thing with Evo's but ive never owned a muscle car. Hopefully our demo car will arrive before summer ends.

Not ordered on yet - still deciding between a 5.0 V8 Mustang and a new Focus RS next year.
If neither will be offered with any incentive either by deposit allowance or price reduction then I'll finance what I'm short via my own bank as it'll be cheaper.
Sound like you're in the same dilemma as me will be waiting a while to see or drive either if it'll be even vaguely possible to do so and banks seem more keen for the business if they're going to ask rates like that. Will be avidly reading the reviews as the proper UK cars of both eventually come to the shores. If neither will be offered with any incentive either by deposit allowance or price reduction then I'll finance what I'm short via my own bank as it'll be cheaper.
I've posted this over on the GT350 thread, but just in case anyone is interested:
If you're around the Tottenham Court Rd tube station area between 11am and 2pm today the GT350R that was at Goodwood is on display. It's on St. Giles High St. opposite The Angel pub apparently. It's the culmination of a Twitter PR thing (#MustanginLondon should give you all the details you need) but I think Dan Jones from Ford UK (the DJone1@ford.com who has been mentioned on this very thread, I believe!) is there looking after it if you want to ask some awkward questions .... and i'll be VERY envious that you'll get a close up look at the 350!

Having been a big hater of the clear lenses, I'm definitely coming around to them, especially on that black one.
That pic does make me sad we're not getting the Recaros though.
