Lightwater in Surrey, where are you? If we're not too many miles apart, would love to see them side by side (& compare interiors now you've done your mods).

Pzeros is the snow are completely useless. Anything under 40f they lose traction fast.
So what do you suggest a 'GT performance pack' North Carolina boy uses.. Not expecting great snow, but ice and cold dry weather mainly.

I'm thinking Michelin Pilot A/s or Goodrich G Force comp2 A/S.
$1150 and $800 fitted respectively. Both have the best reviews I can see.

Just for the winter, then the P Zeros summers can go back on ready for track time.

Wheel and knob fitted:
I absolutely love the wheel, thicker grips, suede is lovely and just is more befitting to the type of car I feel, install took me 45 minutes in the dark, really a very easy job to do. No air bag lights or errors and you can only put the wheel back on in the position it came off so no need for an allignment afterwards.
Did you get the wheel from Lethal Performance..?
I'm looking for the GT350R wheel, but all seem to be on Back order, the GT350 ones do not.

I was out in them today in 2C (35F) damp roads. They're growing on me. For sure if you hit the gas hard then they will be overwhelmed - but tbh - even winter tyres would, 400+BHP is a lot of horses. Doing hard braking (safe environment) grip was incredible. I'm sticking with the P-Zero's (excuse the pun). It does take a good few mileshttp://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/imgs/10.gif before they're worn in though.......

Stunning mustang btw, I think the silver wheels look much better than the black.

For winter use i'd go for continental extreme contact dws or bf goodrich g force comp 2 all season.

Those seem to the most popular bad weather tire on the mustang forums. I'm still trying to wear out my p zeros on the track pack wheels.

Last winter my mustang could not make it out of my road in 2 inches of snow on a slight uphill gradient. I ended up having to reverse spinning a 180 so I could go back down the hill.

I have seen a v6 s197 with g force comp2 drive through 3 inches of snow and mud with ease.

If you tried a tyre like the MPSS you'd not be saying that.

I've had Pzero on my 911 and they were simply at time un-predictable and not so confident inspiring in wet conditions and lacked grip in cold/wet greatly. Changing to PS2 transformed the car to one full of confidence in the wet so even when grip was low there was still plenty of confidence. smile

I then went to MPSS and was simply blown away, it really is a tyre which excels at everything, even better they lasted twice as long.

MPSS FTW!! wink

Hi there

Fitted my rear decklid last night, very easy to do, just undo 4x 7mm bolts in the boot and I then pulled it off with my hands, swap cameras over and reversal. Does not take long and is easy to do.

Those who know their Mustangs will realise this is the EB rear decklid from the USA, but there is no mistaking my car for a V8 from the noise the 5.0l badges all over the car. I went with this because I feel it simply looks the best and cleanest of them all and it really sets the rear-end of. smile

My average mpg is now hovering in the 16-17mpg range and the car is now over 100 miles, struggling to clock them up due to all the horrible weather.

Still loving the car, still hating the clutch pedal and the car is getting so much attention on the road and when parked up, even in this horrible dull weather. smile

I think they look nasty, but then I'm sure what I'm doing to my car won't be to everyone's taste. fk 'em! rofl

At least it's not a hugely expensive mistake to correct if you don't like it.

I looked at doing that but I don't think it works with red. You could be right with guard though, and definitely different. Spray a new one though and keep the stock one - then you can go back.

Hi there

Nothing to excited but I changed my boot or should I say trunk and all interior lighting to LED based, which was mainly just the map reading lights, but now the car only has white/RGB leds throughout, hard to show in a picture but here goes:

Wherever you see blue lights these are the stock RGB units from Ford where you can change to any colour you wish or adjust brightness. The LED lights I installed give a cleaner look and in the boot you can actually see more now as the LED's are obviously more powerful.

Next onto the clutch, as I've said several previous times the clutch is completely lacking any feel at all, it is very light and there is no biting point that I can feel. So it seems a very common thing in US to remove the clutch assist spring as it is just not me finding this issue but 100's of owners in the US who have all removed the spring. Here is a picture of the culprit:

Took a minute to remove with no tools, push pedal to floor with one hand and with the other hand take a good grip and push to centre of car, it just comes off. The clutch is now heavier for sure but I can feel the biting point and it has made my pulling off and 1st-2nd gear change much smoother. So seems us UK owners need to do the same as US guys.

Would be nice if I could find an in the middle spring as now the clutch pedal is very heavy, if I could make it a little lighter, just a little with say a weaker spring would be great, but the car is for sure better without it, just means I will have an Arnold size leg in a years time. biggrin

Number plates were temporary, final plates now on the car:-

So the front plate is now removed and I am using a removable bracket that easily unlocks and locks into place so I can remove for shows etc. It is off at a slight angle though, will fix that tonight.

The rear plate not much change, just not wonky and a plainer looking plate with no dealer advertising on it and of course my private plate.

Looks so much better now! smile

I have these to fit on the weekend.
Amber reflector Blackout.

I have ordered Michelin Pilot A/S 3 tyres for fitting this weekend..
-7 this morning wasn't pleasant on the P Zero summer tyres. $1200 all in at Costco.
