Hi Iam looking to purchase a s550 mustang convertible, the one I have seen does not have the shadow? Bonnet stripe i.e. The one that fades?!! Iam not sure about the proper name for it! The question is can I and can you recommend someone that can fit this to my new car once purchased. The dealer has said they are fitted at the factory etc ...

The faded ones are a factory fit but I had to have one replaced under warranty. They are are available to order as a complete kit from ford. All you then have to do is find a professional graphics company to fit them.

I'm a Ford dealer. The factory stripes are pretty poor IMO. I've had loads retro fitted by a local sign writer and not had any complaints.

Just contact a local company and tell them what you want, job jobbed. I'd go 10" wide x2 and finish them right over the bumpers.

Hi thanks for the feedback, it's the faded stripe I wanted fitting, can you get that retro fitted? If not can it be bought through a Ford dealer

Yes, you can buy them from a Ford parts department and you'll need to get a sign writer to fit them. Or just get them to make some and then fit them

Then tell your insurance company.

The insurance for my GT is insanely cheap but mention stripes and they want to double it yikes

Yet mention exhausts, and if it does not add more than 10% power or was it 10 bhp, no problem and no extra cost.

Madness.
