Looking for my first S550 Mustang GT

Hi everyone!

Looking for my next car and all my heart is on a black S550 Mustang GT, preferably all black and with manual gearbox.

It needs to be a LHD (left hand drive), but ready to take it home once I find the ideal one.

My garage is ready! :-)

Thought about importing one from the US but not sure if I want all the hassle... What do you guys think? Not finding anything around that really catch my eye.

Any good place to start looking. I'm patient but anxious to become a new Mustang owner soon..

You'll save a few quid on a lhd model,pay less road tax and get slightly more bhp. Try all the usual yank importers or mustang specialists. Bill Shepard sometimes has some left hookers in stock.

Why LHD? I take it that you're not in the UK or will be returning 'home' at some point with it?

There might be one or two LHD cars kicking about from very early adopters, but I'd probably start looking in France - leboncoin perhaps?

Yes, exactly.

I'm looking for LHD cause I'm thinking about returning to my home country (Portugal) sometime in the next few years.

High Co2 cars are highly taxed in Portugal e.g. a regular Mustang GT costs at least 100k Euros there....

Therefore, the LHD being so mandatory.

I had someone telling me to have a look at mobile.de (thanks for the french version!) but the GBP-EURO conversion is not very appellative anymore

But, definitely, if I can't find a good fit here in the UK, I may look seriously to ship one from europe.

Any idea what the cost may like? I reckon no VAT or any other tax (except road tax) is due when importing cars from any other country from the EU.

Ideally, a EUR version Mustang would save me some conversion money...
