Yes afraid so it’s gone up over a thousand already. Fords answer is you can have your deposit back if you want but the new price stands
They are chatting st. The price you order at is protected. They are trying to move it on to someone who will pay more. I have a 2018 GT and prices went up between order and delivery but paid the price I ordered at.
Call their bluff and get in touch with Ford UK.

Well in guess it must be legal to do that, they truly have you by the cajones...

My Dodge dealer did the same thing to me when I pre-ordered a Challenger Hellcat 6 months prior to launch - they got me on the term in the order "Projected price" - the best they'd offer was my deposit back. When the car was delivered to the dealer, the price had gone up by nearly $40k. The car was sold for $110,000. You can get a new one 4 years late for around $60k.

I ordered the new Mustang GT as soon as the prices were announced back in early 2015. Mine arrived Jan 2016 and the price had gone up a few times but I still paid what was on the original order.

I didn't even get stung for the slight increase in road tax.

So £34k for a GT and a couple of options.

Had a look the other day and a 2018 with similar spec is about £10k more yikes
