Well, my car has finally landed!

After 9 months waiting I shall be picking it up next Wednesday smile

Can anyone suggest a decent insurance company? Need to get that sorted by then.

Thanks. I’ll check with them tomorrow. Thought I would give Adrian Flux a call as well. Also, Classic Line were pretty good when I had my Ultima many years ago!

It’s an auto. Fighter jet grey. Will post a pic up as soon as I can. smile

Insurance arranged through Classic Line in Hinckley.

Total cost £349. Happy with that. smile

That’s with a mileage limit of 7,500 will see how that goes!

Picked mine up Wednesday. smile

I then had to drive it home, a distance of about 100 miles. Great fun to drive.

Very nice. smile

I am surprised just how comfortable the seats are. So glad I didn’t go for Recaros!

It was a nice afternoon today, so decided to take it out for short drive.

It was going really well to begin with, but after a few miles it completely cut out! Everything died. Not even the indicators were working.
I just came to a complete stop. Fortunately, it was a very quiet A road but, it was still a bit of a squeaky bum moment.
I couldn’t work out what the problem was. I did have the key in my pocket at the time, so perhaps the fob was activated by being sat on?

Anyway, I put the keys in the cup holder and started up the engine again. All fine after that. smile

No messages? Always put the fob is in the cup holder. However always have either a beep or a message if I have done something. It ain’t no TVR !!, I would get it checked out asap.

I keep my key in my pocket, it’s the whole point of keyless entry, surely?

Thanks for the replies.

I don’t think any messages came up. I was more concerned with finding a safe place to pull over.

When I did stop, A message came up to tell me to put it in neutral before starting the car.

I suppose something could have popped up on the dash before it died, but I was not paying much attention. Too busy enjoying the ride!

I will keep the keys in the cup holder from now on. If it happens again, then there’s a problem.

Get it to the dealer! I've had mine coming up two years and only ever have my keys in my pocket not the cup holder (and fun fact in the rear of the two cup holders there's a recess under the rubber mat to put your key in when you want to re-programme it).
