In the recent run up to C&M I noticed an occasional clunk from the front left in fast and bumpy corners..

With a little research and some man maths, I’ve ordered some uprated and adjustable Pedders top mounts. I’m assuming that the clunk is from a worn top mount bearing and the adjustable top mount plates will enable me to dial in the front camber which isn’t typically adjustable on Mustangs.

They’ll make a huge difference!

Depending on your driving style and what you’re trying to do, it might also be worth looking at some chassis braces from either BMR or Steeda.

Have a search for ‘stop the hop’ and you’ll see what I mean..

Wow.. the adjustable camber plates and roller bearings look to be beautifully made:

Looking forward to getting this lot fitted!

She sailed through another MOT earlier this week so I rewarded her with some BMR jacking rails.

With the amount of tinkering I’m doing, they’ll provide a solid jacking point anywhere along the sills and as a byproduct will apparently also improve chassis stiffness. Win win:

The only thing to note with installation is that the longer 'drivers side' rail is actually the passenger side for UK / RHD cars!

A little treat for the interior in the shape of custom floor mats.. not 100% convinced yet but they appear to be well made

I still haven’t found time to fit the camber plates and new roller bearings, but I did find time for a little cosmetic tweak.

Large oem GT badge on the boot lid:

New slightly smaller and neater GT badge:

Much better, that's the Ford GT logo/script isn't it? As in the supercar.

where did you get the mats from?
I’m not sure who made them, they were purchased from a Mustang owners forum.

I wasn’t convinced when I first got them but I’ve grown to like them, they really make the interior!

Today was finally the day that I tacked the camber plates.

Starting with this:

The only minor struggle was with the strut bolts which needed a good whack:

Before drilling out the strut towers to allow access to the adjusters:

To end up with this:

A shakedown and road test will have to wait till later this week… then I’ll need to find a decent geometry specialist near me to get it all setup!
