Hi All,
US Automotive sourced me a Diablo Predator Tuner for my 2005 Mustang GT. I use 97-98 unleaded fuel in my car anyway, and so immediately loaded the 93 Octane Performance Tune into my car. The US 93 PON is equivelant to our 97 RON. And what a difference!!!! My car is completely stock under the hood. And I only have Borla Axle-backs in the rear. But the 93 tune made a hell of difference to my car. The car seems much quicker and much more willing to rev. Throttle response is now electric. Before, if I blipped the throttle from idle, the GT always never really picked up (until it was running at higher RPM). Now if I blip the throttle from idle, it revs righ away (as it should!).

I just wanted to make better use of the fuel I use. And I can recommend the Predator to do the job. It's really woken my GT up!!!!

Just thought I would let anyone know who's interested!

Cheers

That's good to know although the Mustang throttle is a fly by wire arrangement so the tune must somehow sharpen up the electronic throttle response.

Yes, it feels more like my 2 previous carburettored Corvette's rather than an electronically managed throttle-by-wire arrangement.

Much better!

I have a Predator for my F150 and the factory tune really woke the engine up on mine too. the supercharger comes in stronger now. Also helped hold the gearshift too.

There is a company called Chiptuning in Bromsgrove that are Diablosport Predator distributors and they also have a rolling road so they can tune the car to produce even better results from custom maps.

Evolutionvalet,
That is very good info. I was considering a C&L intake for my GT, but I wasn't sure if there was anyone in the UK that could RR the car and tune it for me with the Predator. I was going to give up the idea and stick with what I have.

You may have just changed my mind!!!

But, yes you're right. A tune really makes a difference to these vehicles. I'm astonished by the extra grunt the car now gives.

Cheers

Dazza,
I have got a JLP air kit on mine. The truck runs the 5.4 litre supercharged engine. I was going to change pulleys but there have been some engines let go big time in the US when pushed so just settled for the factory tune.

I am selling the truck also and hopefully gonna get a Saleen S281 S/C or mod my own....depends on what I get for the truck..

I just love the Stang shape.....

Mine has a C&L intake, flash tune via an SCT X-CAL2(programmed in the States by Brenspeed.com)& Magnaflow cat-back exhaust. I can't resist running my cars in the quarter & stock it ran 13.59 @ 101 mph, with these mods last weekend it ran 13.25 @ 106. That is a serious improvement for little outlay.

Thanks for that, I've just found yor comment, it's the the info that I've looking for! I've got the Mustang that came with a Preditor (no cable). I love the motor but I knew in my water that there just a little extra that would liven it up.

I'm off to buy the cable now!

I'll let you know how get on.

Cheers
