My cars geared so that top i.e 6th is similar to a 4.5 Cerbie i.e almost 30mph per thou (with the 19" wheels it is slightly longer in fact)its being set up with a 7500rpm limit and it has a 0.32 drag coefficient - given the huge power and torque it is expected to pull max revs even in top so 200mph should not be a problem at all ..

Without stating the exact power output, can you confirm it's more than the stated (in mags) 500bhp?

I second that question! I was a bit disappointed with the 500bhp being quoted considering that is has a supercharger. 600bhp would be what I would like if I was (i.e. could afford to!) buying one.

Final mapping in-situ (i.e with filters etc) is almost done and I don't want to spoil the headlines or steal TVR's thunder so I'm keeping stumm. I will say that 500bhp is way, way too low ..

i presume obviously that you've heard the car running. if so is the noise kinda speed six mixed with supercharger whine? cos that sounds like heaven to me. (also is it a 4200cc engine or just 4L)

It's a 4 litre engine. Prime_Al might be able to tell you more about the noise, but I don't think he's heard it yet. From what I've heard (3rd hand) the supercharger whine is only just evident, otherwise it sounds near identical to the T440R (i.e. Loud)

We will be going up to Blackpool to collect it sometime near the end of this month. TVR will have some nice pictures taken of the handover and I presume they will use these together with the details to send out to the press.

The T440R still uses the 4.2 litre Speed Six where the Typhon makes use of a supercharged 4 litre.

As the mini back home is coming up, would it still be up there in a couple of weeks or would it be viable to arrange the handover in front of the crowd (he says elbowing his way to the front) as I think the atmosphere could be superb? Just a little idea for you

Prime_Al is the shy and retiring type... or should I just say he wants it all to himself..

He probably just wants to get it home and pore over it's details, then he can bring it out for everyone to see perhaps at a trackday. He will be driving it over to Le Mans in June though.
