You are either missing mods, or the naming of the mods has changed between platforms (the names of the meshes, or the folder structure) If the textures were missing you would get purple meshes.
Can you select the mod armour in the inventory?
Nope. They're not there. I'll wait until imback on the Series X before I kick off in earnest. Can you select the mod armour in the inventory?

Back again.
This time on PS5, bought the Special Edition then upgraded to the Anniversary Edition for £30 in total.
I have always used range/assassin sneak build with the occasional magic, but this time trying something totally different using full magic/sneak build, only using range to start the fight from distance then heading into combat using magic. Trying it on expert difficulty as well so it's not easy but I'm coping so far. Just bought a load of spells in Whiterun after doing a couple of side quests for some coin and items, this has upgraded the damage and healing my spells can do.
I bloody love this game, going to start building a house and doing some smithing soon to improve the armour I'm wearing.
Wow, can't believe this was 3 weeks ago, time flies. This time on PS5, bought the Special Edition then upgraded to the Anniversary Edition for £30 in total.

It's gotten a lot easier since I upgraded my alchemy and smithing, I just made upgraded potions and sell them for a big profit, which I then in turn use for better armour/weapons or more training to level me up more. Reckon I'll stick with this character for a while longer, but already planning another playthrough with mods turned on, might do my usual range/assassin sneak build, as it's been a while.
Playing the latest (Legendary? - the new upgrade version anyway) edition on PS4. Never had any major problems before (occasional crash but not often), but is now crashing a lot. By a lot, I mean every single time. It can freeze when wandering about, can freeze when putting stuff in chests, can get stuck on loading screens when leaving a building. Basically, whenever it feels like.
Other than the latest upgrade with the Creation Club stuff, I'm not using any other mods.
Any suggestions would be welcome as it's really starting to annoy me now.

I would delete and reinstall. No real problems for me with the new version (on the PS5).
Deleted last night & re-installed it. Will check tonight so fingers crossed...
I'll be gutted if it doesn't work - I've got the very nice Ebony Mail & Lydia is dressed as a bear. Aela (the wife) is looking after my various houses (Hendraheim currently - about to send her to the new Vampire house in the mountains) but she moans a lot about spiders & wolves.
I don't mind the odd glitch (for some reason the Golden claw falls off the wall in Tundra homestead - maybe because it's stolen?), but crashing every few minutes is beyond irritating.

Could it be some sort of memory problem?
I fast travelled to Winterhold last night & luckily it autosaved when I got there. What was weird though was that none of the roofs of the buildings loaded & if I looked towards the sun, the rays of the sun were just black as if they weren't loading either. I tried fast travelling away but it crashed. Loaded it up again and it worked fine.
I'm playing on a standard PS4, with no mods loaded. I'm guessing it's something to do with the Anniversary edition that's causing problems so could there be anything in there that could be causing problems & is there anything I can "switch off" as such?

I don't know if a PS4 can quite cope with the extra stuff, I got the PS5 upgrade (totally worth it for the load times alone, 5-8 seconds to load when fast travelling!). I used it on a PS4 Pro before and it still had frame rate issues....I'm looking at getting Skyrim on the PS4, as my OH lad has the Anniversary edition, so it's partly because he doesn't always remember to bring his disc with him when he comes to ours, but I'd also like to play myself when I manage to find the time and the PS4 is free.
I have a question about the versions on the Playstation Store.
The Special Edition is currently £8.74, and the Anniversary upgrade is £7.99, so a total of £16.73 (although that price only valid until midnight tonight)
The Anniversary Edition is currently £19.19 (valid until 06/01/23)
Am I correct in thinking that buying the Special Edition and the upgrade would be the same as just buying the Anniversary Edition?

I'm sorry I was a few mins late. But yes, buying the special edition and then the upgrade to anniversary will be the same as just buying anniversary.I have a question about the versions on the Playstation Store.

Personally I'd just stick with the Special Edition. £8.74 for all that content is mega good value. The extras offered by Aniversary aren't really necessary beyond the upgrades you can add in to Special Edition for free. Just my view. I've played something like 500 hours on Skyrim from PS3, to PS4 to PC and modded Special Edition is more than enough content and awesome.

I managed to forget about it until this morning anyway, but I should have pulled the trigger!
Ah well, if it was on sale once, it will be again!
It is worth whatever price is being asked, you will spend 100 hours or more playing it I will wager (hard not to frankly)... Ah well, if it was on sale once, it will be again!
I'd agree with the above. I started playing ti again recently having only "completed" it once before. God knows how many hours I've put into it this time. I've got the anniversary edition and there are some nice QoL improvements in it including better housing options and backpacks which I found invaluable as I'm a bit of a hoarder!
It's such a good game
