I can't see that getting to release, hasn't every modder effort to remake an old game in a new engine fallen victim to copyright law?

They have permission from Bethesda, hence the legal quality requirement for release he talks about during the video.

Ahhh, Oblivion..I probably enjoyed that game more than Skyrim and was utterly blown away and in love with it back in the day. Oblivion and Fallout 3 are up there in my top 3 favourite games ever, along with Witcher 3. I guess I just love these types of games! thumbup

Just hit level 40 yesterday, first ever PC playthrough with mods, making lots of coin through alchemy. Build is a stealthy archer who occasionally uses magic, my favourite build tbf. Might try a pure mage next or a tank (never done this one before), years later I can’t believe I’m still playing this game.
My first ever play through was with an Orc tank, Berserker Rage is really helpfull to this build. Started with a shield and mace, ended up Ebony heavy armour, Spellbreaker shield and Ebony mace which could somehow decapitate people. If i did it again I would swap the mace for a sword as there are more sword options.

I admit im not a very good or experienced gamer but I don't think you can play as a tank on the harder dificulties. You don't get the sneak kills as you end up in the thick of things and might be taking on multiple enemies at once. Spellbreaker is a must as without it its a struggle to get near mages to kill them.

I had Marcurio as a follower in matching Ebony armour. I used the Waberjack to increase his level. When he uses his chain ligtning attack his armour would light up like a suit in TRON.

Just realised Nolvus is an all in one Skyrim mod package, that you install to a fresh Skyrim (Anniversary edition).

This is the webpage - https://www.nolvus.net/

Manual or automatic install versions.

More Nolvus

Bethesda have some heavy lifting on TESVI unless they drop the Creation Engine.

Is this compatible with other Nexus mods?

As far as I can tell (I've not installed it yet as V6 is coming next year) Nolvus dashboard is a mod manager and it runs a mod list that downloads the mods from Nexus mods but they have all been tested to work together, most of the mods you may already have. But it is best to run a clean Skyrim and add the Nolvus mod list. If you have premium Nexus it will automatically download the mods, if not you manually star the downloads. They have created a build that works, you can of course disable some of the mods on the list if you don't like it, as long as it's not required for another mod (obvs) but what they have created is a huge mod build that plays together without crashing.

It doesn't install the mods to the Skyrim directory, it works like Mod Manager 2, it has them in a separate folder and runs them from there.

You most likely already have some already installed or used, check out the full mod list for V5 - https://www.nolvus.net/modlist

Finally got my modded Skyrim working again after Bethesda's paid mod cash grab update borked many.

Latest interesting addon, animated ships on lakes and estuaries.

A "few" screenies. Still looking good in 2024 biggrin

I've hardly done any of the original quests, loads of new things to do, Legacy of the Dragonborn, Warden of the Coast and more.

619 mods, 684 plugins. So quite a lightweight build. smile

Been playing through this yet again but on my Steam Deck this time around.

However, I’m sorely tempted to use the Nolvus install and finish it on my desktop PC if it’s going to look as good as the screenshots appear.

Pretty straight forward to use I take it?

Gotta be the best game ever ain't it, mental that people still play it and it gets regular updates/mods more than a decade later.

Great pictures above btw.

Caved in and am currently downloading the Nolvus Ascension package.

Never had Nexus Mods Premium but felt it was necessary for a month for the sake of my sanity. Cannot be sat there manually clicking each of the 2054 mods one by one which I’d need to do without a months sub for Nexus Mods.

Still waiting for fiber here so it’s downloading at a crappy 13Mbps, it could take some time!

I installed skyrim on my PS5 and it gavce me some sort of upgrade to the PS5 version. Enjoying my usual roaming around everywhere in full crouch/stealth mode. Only break stealth mode if I have to book it out of there for some reason. Great game. Looks good enough on PS5 and 4k tv. Nothing like the fully modded stuff on here but its hassle free and I am enjoying it again. cheers

Just discovered the Markarth outskirts mod. Which adds a lot more city outside the city walls.

https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mod...

I am running an RTX 4090 (at 4k) and yes, that fps counter bottom right does say 43fps. It's quite a hog.
