Was a good, if quiet, race last night. Watching GSI2000 and Calgon battling it out ahead of me for lap after lap was entertaining, even if I frustratingly couldn't quite match GSI's pace. Shame that we were all too frazzled to remember to save the replay as well!

I think I'll stick with the GT2s, but if we end up with a shortage of Protoypes I don't mind switching.

I am not sure if I can run in this championship as my work hours change week to week so I will jump in and out when I can.

What are we doing about LMP1 cars?
Also could somebody post up a list of GT2 cars as I would like to get a car ready for each class so I can run in either cars

I'd be interested if the cars were unbanned...

In LMP1 I'd probaby use the Mazda B207(?), and in R2 I'd probably use the... hmmm... Mazda Furai? If people want to use a Dodge then *shrug*, they'll be quick. If they're a quick driver anyway then they'll win. Such is the nature of motorsport.
the first mazda is lmp2 and i dont think the fiurai is a gt2 body?

!ALL CARS INBETWEEN! i cba naming them all.

to

AUDI
2011 #4 Forza Motorsports R10 TDI

If your still confused to what cars are allowed in then go to the buy a car section, search R1, then go onto car list, click RB till it comes up with the prototype 1 body style and choose accordingly.

!THERE IS NO UPGRADES ALLOWED!

its all about the tuning, if you dont know how to tune ill be more than happy to run you threw the basics. as a good tune can shave atleast 2seconds off the time you set with no tune on.

jokes aside,

if people are desperate for vipers couldnt you just use the newer and slower ones? they are GT3. just as an option to keep people happy. smile

Are you speaking from Forza 4 experience? I know they were far superior in 3, but so far I haven't seen that much difference between the P1 cars...

Likewise with the Viper (and Mosler), they are not as dominating as they used to be...

I thought it was vice versa, I never came up against a 908/R15 that an Aston Lola couldn't beat!

yes if you look at the pi it goes from 981 - 995 so theres a big differance between them.

see the thing is in wednesday nights race no one used the r15 tdi or the 908's or the vipers, so i dont see what the big fuss is about.

i dont see any one else moaning about the rules & regs in other series going on, so if you dont like the rules and how its set out, dont join up.

im just doing what was discussed on the previous thread/in game/making it fair for all.

i can uderstand people being upset about tuning saying they "can't tune" theres no such thing as can't. just take your time ask for abit of guidance then you will soon learn how to tune. its not hard by any stretch of the imagination.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying I don't like the rules, I just thought they were arbitrary. Hell, I can't even race most wednesdays anyway! Imho a PI difference of 14 is nothing this high up...

x2, sorry to have come across as a whinging bd mate. Re: the Aston, took it round Le Mans with chicanes and got a 3:29.something, found it a doddle to drive where as the diesels struggle with the amount of torque, so one answer could maybe to ban traction control? That way the Pugs/Audis and shizzle can't make the most of their surfeit of torque, and it makes it a bit more interesting with everyone having to be careful on the throttle!

It is, it's bragging tradition. I drive with a blindfold on to make sure you guys can keep up!

More seriously though, a lot of people struggle without TCS in R class cars.

rofl I still stuggle to keep up... paperbag

And yeah the R1s can be a bit of a handful, but I think it's good as it punishes you for maybe stomping on it a bit early or clipping a kerb and lighting them up smile

Yes mate, this is what i'm saying. That's why you should let people run the diesels as without traction they're a nightmare, all the torque just spins the wheels up where as the Aston is a beauty.

@Alex, sorry chap didn't get your message until last night, I had a go in the Aston, 1st flying lap on La Sarthe set a 3:27.9 or something like that, diesels I just managed to dip under 3:30.

eh? i just thaught id do a quick tune in my audi r15++ tdi and was only a second off my fastest time round there in my tuned toyota gt 1, yes the back end was a tad bit lively but thats whats expected when your trying to set fast laps.

either way my lmp1 car is going round in 1:32.462 and my fastest ive had out my GT2 car is lapping in the 1:44.544
