Anyone played it?

I picked it up for £9 in HMV. I'm hooked, far better than I thought it would be.
First person shooter, usable vehicals, switch between team members in the midst of battle, stunning visuals.

(So far no bugs I can find. . shock horror)

thumbs up from me.

Suprising! All the reviews of Breed I read were less than enthusiastic. Might be worth a look at nine quid.

I seem to remember reading some less than excited reviews too (wasnt sure until you said it).

But I must say its pretty good. Its nothing like the speed of unreal or the like and if you run in with your team blasting pretty soon your standing there on your own wondering why nobody else is returning fire. Take your time and clear the imediate area using the teams strenghs and you will come through (still pretty tricky at times though).

Graphics are very nice, and when you jump in a fighter, tank or jeep etc there is no graphics jump at all. Very smooth, one second your running around, next your bombing along at high speed in a heavily armed jeep or the like. The VTOL take offs in the ships are pretty tricky but far better than just pressing one button (you have to adjust the thrust vectoring, put the gear up etc. cool)

Cool moment;

Told my team to hold position and decided to go on ahead to check round the next corner of the hill. As I turned the corner I was confronted by about 20 or 30 "breed" soldiers milling about and not paying attention, I had sucessfully crept up on them.
Luckly the team member I was using had a mini gun . . . . . after much noise there was alot of dead breed all over the place. Made me laugh until the Breed tank rounded the corner ahead. . . .

Like I said, its pretty good fun, and for £9 its a steal.
