Just completed my first refugee run. Took all the mining kit off my Python and loaded down with cabins, filled it up with refugees and ran
Nice, and profitable Here's the AXI groups target systems if you want to be part of their efforts.

Gimballed AX multicannons shouldn't be too far away from dropping to help the builds as well.
Spoiler alert, here's the solution to the season's treasure hunt with free paintjobs up for grabs.

Thanks for that - out delivering gifts, gatering paintjobs https://www.reddit.com/r/EliteDangerous/comments/z...
Got jumped a couple of times, so did a bit of combat. Got a nice moody screenshot of my Krait
Slow* progress in Elite's grand new war.
Gimballed Anti-Xeno multicannons have arrived, why they took so long NFI. They are very effective at chewing up Thargoid scouts but still difficult to put to use against Interceptors because of the Xeno scanner range issue.
Recent announcement that implies the entirely artificial limit of 4 AX weapons will soon be revised/lifted/improved maybe finally making the Type 10 useful.

FYI this is £4.99 on the Epic Games store until tomorrow! Couldn't resist at that price
Enjoy, highly recommend checking out the Elite Dangerous subreddit and Inara for lots and lots and lots of information. At present the Thargoid war is raging and lots of people are expecting something new to turn up with the update next month.
I had a quick spin (literally) and was very impressed, great initial tutorial and a fab evolution of Frontier/FFE
Runs really well on my ancient PC too, always a bonus nowadays!
Now just to find some time to actually play it..
e: this game must be amazing in VR!

Oooh - an Elite Dangerous thread! I should really get back into ED but I'm an explorer at heart and the gaklaxy map interface is unusable (for me) since the change about a year ago.
Claim to fame: I hold the Hutton Run record! (Well the one for doing it properly, anyway. There's an exploit using Thargoids that is included on the leaderboard but is not recognised by the powers-that-be.)

How do you glitch a Hutton run to be quicker?
I've enjoyed the tiny bit of Exobiology I've done which is an Odyssey addition to exploration. Used a friends Carrier to take me in luxury out to the Southernmost point of the Galaxy and see the Gyre Flowers there, kinda like very primitive Thargoids.
At the moment I'm just enjoying bug smashing at Base CZs without having to worry about the swarm and constantly rearming :-)

Update 15 live and the Thargoids in the centre of the now accessible Maelstroms certainly look spectacular.
Ground missions against Thargoid "Reavers" (basically upgraded scavengers, not the long awaited Bug soldiers) look quite challenging.
A couple of nice QoL fixes too including decluttering system maps with stacked carrier icons.
