Does anyone know about the above? I can't find the DLC anywhere on the PSN Store, or anything online for any other formats?
Here's a link to it on the US site: https://store.xbox.com/en-US/Xbox-One/Dlc/Project-... cost me $3.16 in total. Saying that, I just looked at the UK site and there it seems it's only with the bundle, so maybe it varies depending on where you live.Cross posted from the time trial thread -
Just got this game and have a couple of questions...
1) Can you get the outside engine sounds when using an inside view? I know it's not as accurate but to me it sounds better.
2) Can you adjust the stability control more than On or Off? I'm still a bit rubbish so need a bit of help but I like the car to slide a bit, but maybe I'm being greedy wanting a car to slide but not spin!
Loving the game though, played briefly on an ancient wheel (where the brake pedal didn't work) and loved it even more so am waiting for a new wheel to arrive before getting involved in the time trials...

Bought a PS4 Sunday, ProjectCars arrived today from Amazon, picked up one of those bargain Logitech wheels from Currys at lunchtime and wife is away for the night. Not sure having not played it yet if I can get on to doing these time trials without completing a loud of kart racing first. If I can, expect some really shonky lap times later tonight. ha ha.

Not that I can see, though you might be able to fiddle with the Chase Cam FOV to make it look like you're in the car? (I agree the exhaust noises are fantastic, especially the older stuff)

Nope, though some of the setups should give you more control on the limit. I'm finding it very tough to catch slides, even with the Opposite lock assist on. check out the PCars Tuning Database on GTPlanet. FunkyNige said:

What wheel is it? I had a lot of trouble getting my DFP to work properly with PCars, (no brake, then only on/off pedals, then too much FFB, then no FFB, and different cars behaving differently))I solved it by getting the latest drivers from the logitech site, and re-calibrating the pedals.

Got this game for Ps4 on release and was dissapointed with how it played with a pad. Logitech G29 is for sale at Currys/PcWorld so I just grabeed one. It'll be with me on monday. Hopefully I can get involved in these time trials.
Last sim I played a sim with a wheel was a good few years ago on gt5 with my DFGT so will be interesting to see how this compares.
£160 for that wheel isnt a bad price imo, but would never pay the full £300, so if anyone is after a new budget wheel, snap em up now before this sale ends.
Im an in no way affilliated with Logitech or Pcworld/Currys btw

And it sounds like it was previously in the game in the F1 menu, and apparently there's a "mic placement" option in GT6 so maybe one day it will appear!
Once my wheel arrives I'll look into setting up the cars from the links in the posts above too.

The karts are probably the least fun for me. Take an E30 M3 around Brands Hatch Indy, actually pick any car any circuit, they're all fun . I'm so hooked it's not funny any more.
I'd suggest an E30 M3 around the full length Oulton Park. That's a challenge when you're in a group. Only cars for me that aren't fun are the LMP1 and Formula A cars, using a pad is tricky as fk with with them.

Bought it today, not impressed - perhaps Im getting old but I can't see me giving this more than a few hours play and will be abandoned on the shelf. Does not feel like driving at all to be a sim - but has none of the fun of an arcade racer.
Try before you buy - this game is not for everyone.
I collected this game on Saturday, full of excitement, expecting a GT6 rival. It's a GT6 rival in al aspects apart from the steering speed. Try before you buy - this game is not for everyone.
I have played all the GT series & a fair bit of Forza all on control pads and both of these games seem to get it that the speed of going from lock to lock needs to be fast. Going from lock to lock on pCARS takes over a second. When getting into a slide and some opposite lock is applied you end up spinning off into the scenery because the computer likes to decide how quickly the wheel should turn, it reminds me of the original TOCA touring cars in that most slides are unrecoverable, no this is forgiveable in a game that is almost 20 years old but for a so-called sim on the latest console it's pretty poor.

I'm not sure what game all you guys are playing, but this is awful.
Please tell me it gets better with a wheel, as with the pad it's way more arcade than sim.
This game should have been advertised as arcade. Anyone who disagrees, try braking on the wet grass and notice how you'll still make the corner as if you were on track. uite disappointed after the hype. Please tell me it gets better with a wheel, as with the pad it's way more arcade than sim.
Anyone who thinks this is a sim needs to try Grand Prix Legends. Why can't developers look at this physics model and learn from it?
Assetto Corsa on order.
