Anyone else getting this? Had Real Racing 2 on the IPhone and really enjoyed it, 3 is released today on IPad and it's free
However, it works via micro-transactions and you can play it for free, but have to wait for post-race damage to be fixed, rather than jumping straight into the car again. This has been controversial and it was panned by Eurogamer for the costs involved, but IGN, Pocket Gamer etc all seem to like it, the IGN reviewer said he was happily playing it without spending a penny thus far. As someone of the 3.142/key persuasions who has happily played World of Tanks (a similar micro-transaction model) since the start without spending anything, I am really looking forward to this and will be downloading tonight.

Been running it on the Galaxy S3 most of the day, really enjoying it so far. It's a shame my 8GB Nexus 7 is far too full to install it on.
Controls are quite good using just the phone, though I've now got it paired up to Sixaxis to use my PS3 controller
I love the detail, looks to be easily on a par with GT4/Forza 3 which is impressive from a mobile game. I love the real tracks as well, Hockenheim, Suzuka and Brands especially.
Haven't seen any mention of Nurburgring though so I guess that's not in the game. Shame, as I'd love that in a mobile game (even if it was just the GP circuit).
Also finding the cost of it very nicely done. Easy enough to play without spending a penny, good to see that you get both money and gold for progressing through the game.

I have it on my iPad retina and it looks gorgeous. Only played a few competitions but its a good time waster. Seems a lot of work to get in game currency mind. Is there an option to turn off the auto braking, not a fan of it almost seems too easy.
Auto braking can be changed in settings..Auto braking and steering settings are in bottom left hand corner 'cog' pic settings area.
I've prob playing it for an hour now, and unlocked next series with buying another car, which is definately a bit harder than the first series u get in to.
Anyone know how u get a pic next to your name?
