Having played a lot of Skyrim - am tempted by Witcher 3 - question is, PC or XBox one?

I have a pretty good gaming PC with an NVidia 1060 6Gb - so leaning towards that I suppose, but, I have several (3 in fact - indulgent I know!) Xbox One's which means I have more flexiblity in terms of where to play?

GOTY edition is onyl £17.87 on Amazon, whereas the PC equivalent is £29.99??

PC then you can fix the bugs, improve the visuals or add new content.

£24:99 on Steam or GOG. £19:99 on cdkeys. No DRM so install it on as many machines as you want.

I forget exactly how much but I'm well over 40+ hours into it and haven't touched the expansions yet.

Found it a bit frustrating at the start as combat was especially difficult but having opened up access to most things and learning to make use of the oils and bits rather than just hack and slash all the time it's great.

Still come across the occasional thing that kicks my ass at lvl 30+, though usually only when getting into multiple enemies at once.

Trying to drag it out a bit now though as I don't really want to finish it.

Combat in witcher has always been tricky. Good thing too. You do get a lot more powerful later.

I think with the expansions it's easy to hit 120 plus hours. Both of the expansions are good.

Some of the quests are very well designed, not just fetch tasks

The biggest thing I learnt is to specialise ,I like the way there are so many different types of way to play.currently doing a combat build but going to add some alchemy to it.
The spell builds look a bit too powerful and take some of the skill out of combat .
The storylines are excellent ,even the side quests.

Bit late to the party, I know, but I’ve been meaning to switch it off for the past two hours yet I’ve been following Yenn around Skellige like a puppy.

Put about 100hrs in now and still on Act One as far as I can tell.

Can’t say that about too many games these days.

It's quite simply the best RPG ever made. I hope the developers revisit the world at some point.

I put well over 100 hours into it (on PC) and avoided all the spoilers. Even the soundtrack is brilliant!

It will be interesting to see what Netflix do with the TV show planned for the Witcher universe.

I tried several times before getting on with Witcher 3, but once I put a couple of hours into it I was hooked. Beautiful game, definitely one of, if not the best, games I’ve played.

Err Skyrim followed by Fallout 3 are infinitely better RPG's.

But, it is pretty decent.

Not sure TBH. Liked both of those, and Fallout 4 was pretty good too, but I still think W3 outshines the lot of them. I guess it’s subjective.

Can’t say that I can be bothered with Gwent though.

Funny this should pop back up, I just bought the whole series from GOG yesterday - decided I missed the depth that I had through the Mass Effect and Dragon Age serieses (apparently that's not a word wink ) with the various on-line shooters I've been knocking about with and it was time to get into something with meat again.

Not played 1 or 2 and maybe that’s why it took a little while to click but it’s sucked me in now.

Might try 2 once I’ve finished this but I’ve been told that W3 is the best of the bunch.

Skyrim had no soul all the quests and story was very flat in comparison. Crafting was a chore. Spent a lot of time with it never got to love it. Really enjoyed the previous elder scrolls games.

Hated fallout 3 for some reason just dull.

Imo 1 is a better game overall than 2. 2 just seems too short.

Feel the same. Put 100 hours in to Skyrim and there's so much to love. But it did feel flat. I had a lot more fun with Witcher 3, the fighting was more fun, and the world just felt richer.
