Just popped to Game to grab this as I've got some points to spend and some things to trade. Had to give up after a while as I could no longer take standing in a growing line of customers while the assistants pretend to be everyone's best friend. Is there a shop anywhere where it takes longer to get served? Will try again first thing tomorrow.

Supermarkets dude. Couple quid more expensive but <2 minutes in-and-out, and nobody tried to pickpocket me or lick my neck like at my local Game store on a big release day.

Yeah I try to avoid game, but had some loyalty points and games to trade. Will go in first thing.

I am not liking the controls and camera. Movement just feels ...wrong

Not enamored with the combat either.

Looks pretty.

But mini maps and 'find and retrieve' quests are so last gen.
I take it back. Really rather enjoying this so far! hehe

Played the first hour and really like it, haven't delved into any major combat yet but the mechanics are okay, I'd prefer the camera to be a little bit closer.

Looking forward to getting stuck in smile

S/he will have outgrown them in a few weeks, so you'll get much better VFM from a copy of Witcher 3.

Loving this, it will take a couple of days to really get the hang of controls but it's stunning so far.

I've been missing Skyrim since... well Skyrim.

Is there a similar feel to exploring the wilds in this?

Thanks,
SRW

Yes, I think it's better than Skyrim as it's not a bunch of identikit dungeons with different skins on. All of the quests have been great, even the little ones, as they aren't generic fetch quests or 'bring me five wolf skins'.

Certainly similar, yes - although the first thing that came to mind for me was actually Red Dead Redemption.

Which is high praise indeed....

Well after reading these two comments, I'm off to buy a copy. Very high praise IMO.

Well it should be, Skyrim is 5 years old.

Shows how poor a ot of recent games have been. Although a lot of Skyrim's longevity is down to mods.

Nice tip I found for PS4 users, if you swipe up on the touchpad you go straight to the world map smile
