I have it downloaded, but yet to dive into it.
I completed 99.9% of Skyrim on Xbox, how does it compare?

I haven't got round ot buying/playing this, but just a heads up. This game is £4.99 on the PSN Store. I have no ideea why the GOY edition is £35 though... is there meant to be a difference? (they are digital downloads).

I can get a physical copy of the GOY edition for £15.

GOTY includes all the paid for DLC (Hearts of Stone and Blood & Wine)

However there is a load of free DLC available - https://en.cdprojektred.com/news/download-all-rele...

Witcher III is not just getting the ray tracing/DLSS graphics update for free for current game owners, it's getting new free DLC too - https://www.overclock3d.net/news/software/the_witc...

I recently picked the GOTY edition up for £34.99. Am definitely still "slogging through the first few hours". I hope it gets better. Currently all it's got going for it is the original fighting style - running in circles eating baked potatoes between useless slashes of a random sword. frown

Stick at it. If you’re in white orchard that’s still the training area.

Genuinely the best game i’ve played.

That's nice, hopefully it 'll be here by the time I finish off CP2077 and finally get around to firing W3 up smile

I picked up it late last year in the Steam sale for something like £10, GOTY on the PC. I take it yours is on console but I’d say even for £35, it’s a bargain.

Like you, for the first few hours, as much as 10 or so I didn’t really like it or at least didn’t see what the fuss was about.

I’m now 60ish hours in and I am loving it, it gets easier as you level up but it’s still a good challenge. However it’s the depth of the story/dialogue which makes you really appreciate it, and the beautiful landscapes.

Not sure where you are but I’d say once you’re done with the red Barron quests, a bunch of brummie blokes hehe, it gets better and better!

Agreed. It’s got that RPG thing of being quite hard until you’ve got the hang of the controls and have levelled up a little, but if you can push past the initial section you’ll find an amazing game.

By the time you’ve finished the baron and the orphans bit, you’re up to a good enough level to enjoy it fully.

I remember getting that far and thinking “how much more game can there be after this?”

A lot.

And blood and wine is a work of art.

I'll try that. But after I'm done with Skyrim. So, about 2030. hehe

See, i loved skyrim but the story and characters felt generic. Witcher is the opposite.

Both cracking games tho.

I was hoping the same depth would be carried over into Cyberpunk and was somewaht disappointed to find it wasnt. W3 was a superb game in every respect.

Totally agree. Cyberpunk was such a disappointment for those of us expecting a similar level of story crafting to the Witcher. Ignoring the myriad technical bugs in it and the fact the gameplay was a bit flat, Cyberpunk was just boring

I finished this, including Hearts of Stone and Blood and Wine, this weekend. At 120 hours it is the longest I have played any one game, but I am probably not quite as deflated to have finished it as Outer Wilds or Death Stranding. It does have it's clunky aspects but overall it is exceptionally good. I particularly liked the unpredictability of choices and distant consequences.

Can you play it again, or does that ruin it?
