Yep, I'm a member!
Did the Grand Touring Cup and Spec Racer Ford last season, had a blast! Now in C Class and trying out the McLaren which is fun but a bit more full on.
I still rate the GTC as the best racing I've done so far in my short membership period. Unfortunately these last few weeks have been quite hectic for me so I've not really had a chance to get in to this season just yet.
I have the Fanatec CSW Base & F1 Rim, and the Club Sport Pedals V2. Awesome bit of kit coming from a Logitech Momo, but then it wasn't cheap! Also have a 3 x 24" screen set up!

It's certainly worth $6 for one month.
I've been on there for a long time now, still really enjoying it.
Indy 500 week this week, last practice session I was in, 26 cars covered by 0.5 second, great fun.
Its amazing how loose a car can when your 'just' turning left! I've been on there for a long time now, still really enjoying it.

It is. And the precision required to get the right lines! I was in a fixed set practice earlier, chasing 2 hundredths of a second, just touching a kerb or turning in a fraction too late and the lap is wasted. You get a good impression of how fuel affects the performance though, start of the session the car will do 30.5s, on an empty tank it will do 30.1s.
I actually just renewed my license to see how it was coming along, still feels good, I think rfactor 2 actually has better feel and feedback but it looks good and is nicely optimised, just hot lapping round spa with everything on full was giving a stable 400 fps!
They have certainly mproved the sounds as well, the vette sounds lovely!

The main reason I do iracing over other Sims is because I prefer to race against other people without the hassle of forums/mods/installations.. plus the circuits are really REALLY a step up on anything else available, i've done a lot of rfactor offline/lan and I like the feel although it depends on how well modeled the car is and how good the circuit is, also trying to find pickup and play races is a ballache, theres too much mod/circuit choice and too few people participating.
Leaving all the physics stuff aside the ease of use into dropping into long races with big grids (my kinda racing) is the winner, im not *that* good so my irating seems to drop me in amongst people I can race against and im able to compete against them over a 12week season, but looking up the top of the tree the good drivers are very very good and provide some amazing racing to watch (the race broadcasting scene alone is heads and shoulders above anything else out there)
All it needs are driver changes, day/night transition and Le Sarthe.

Had a bit of a session last night having joined up again and won my first race, mx5s on Latina, was great fun, good clean battles.
Nice one! I've been trying to get to grips with the Vette, its a very different beast compared to the McLaren! Must remember to brake early. But that noise.. Been on this for a few months now. Got myself a decent rig and steering wheel setup so I could get full enjoyment out of it.
Currently D Licence on the Ovals and about to get my D on the Road side of things. Will be running the Skippy and probably LM until I get up to the C Licences.

I bite the bullet last night, so glad I did. I've only been in practice sessions on L.S in the MX5 and I'm already loving it. Running mid 1.46s, so I've got to step my game up loads before I bother wheel to wheel racing.
Quick question, is there anyway of setting the fuel level, or does it just boot you out on a full tank?

Yes you can choose the level of fuel.
When you join a session but before you go on track there are two buttons on the right of the screen.
One is for basic options such as controls and graphics. The other is car set ups, and you will be able to adjust the fuel level there
Unless its a practice session for a fixed setup race, in that case you won't be able to change anything. When you join a session but before you go on track there are two buttons on the right of the screen.

Do we fancy a go at a PH MX5 race?
