Been playing the new 1.3 Underground this afternoon. First thing you notice is all problems most people are having to actually get in
to the underground section with the Delta crash recurring. I managed to get in after several attempts and then was locked in and couldnt travel back
to the BoO. Still gave me a chance to try it out and it is good fun with different mobs randomly occuring on each mission. Normal has lvl 30-31, hard 32, challenging 34 (2 team died within 1 minute).
The SMG nerfs have hit hard and my head and crit head shots have fallen by close to 30% when you take in account the nerf on the 3 striker 2 sentry as well. But the LOOT that drops is amazing. I went from 201 to 229 in space of a few hours, just playing solo, and then 2 hard 2 team missions. Funnily enough the normal missions gave me better loot.
Kicked off with 240 BLIND, followed by 240 BLIND, then another 240 BLIND, then a G36 lvl 229 AR (with mag mod comes in at 106 rounds for an SMG - forget the LMG's being the new go to weapon, this is the one although its base dmg is going to be nerfed), then playing 2 team, a 268 BLIND 3 stat holster (they are now all three stat) to complete my BLIND set, and a PP16 SMG lvl 229. Missions take about 20 minutes solo on normal, and you also get phoenix credits dropped and boss loot, but the best loot is in the cache at the end of mission. Tried out the recal before I went down to the underground and recal'd my M1A to Brutal, but my Vector didnt recal as well. A recal costs 100 Phoenix and 1 weapon recal (which costs 8 gold fabric in my case plus 330 phoenix for the blueprint) as I had loads more fabric than anything else. You can choose electronics, tools or weapons too. Out of the extensive list of talents to recal you are rolled three - so chances of getting what you want are not so good. Reroll and it costs 130 odd phoenix and 2 weapon recal tools - so effectively 16 yellows of your choice. Now I need to get out of the Underground and back to the BoO to reroll some stats on gear and weapons. What was a huge grind to get good gear has now improved dramatically.

Shame us PS4 players have to wait over a month to be able to play it. to the underground section with the Delta crash recurring. I managed to get in after several attempts and then was locked in and couldnt travel back

I have put about 20 hours in this week and apart from a couple of 240 items I have got a load of dross. I have been matchmaking and doing 2-3 phase hard missions with lots of effects. Not one gun above 204 and not one 268 gear piece.
I have, however, got a shed load of 168 and 182 pieces. Really, really disappointed in the effort/ reward in this expansion.

To get all the 268 /229 gear you have to be over like GS228 (at least that is how it used to be). Less than this and you get 240 or below. 163's drop from normal UG, and 182's from Hard, but add 4+ directives and you can get better gear drops on hard. I've just raised my alt character from lvl 24 to 255 in just over a day on solo. Mind you as soon as it got to lvl 30 I put on all the spare 268 gear my main char had and all caches 268/229. The new RNG gear in the UG means you dont just get firecrest and lonestar all the time as my first char did. Got my first 229 M1A from UG cache - been trying for one for ages - with capable too - Christmas came early - was still using a 163 before!! Now trying to get last alphabridge piece for 4 set to have some fun customizing. I have put about 20 hours in this week and apart from a couple of 240 items I have got a load of dross. I'm GS223 god dammit!!!!
Ah that explains it. Just gear up with whatever you cant to get over 228 and then focus on gear sets when 229/268 drops. Hope you havent wasted lots of u/g caches stuck at 223!!! The highest weekly HVT also drops random 229/268 gear, not sure if that is GS dependent? J-D-Stagpump said:

I tried really hard to persevere with the Division, mainly due to how good the campaign was, but the end game just has so many flaws I've jacked it in and gone back to Destiny until BF1 drops in a couple of months.
Alas being a PC man I have cannot play destiny. It was. Teleporting, millions of health points, no reload, all bullets in a magazine in one go, RoF increase and of course aimbot too! Once they came down hard on it and banned people it improved but now you have gank squads of 6-8 players roaming the zones killing everything and everyone they see, regardless of having gear or not. With the horsemen farm opportunities there's no real need to go into the DZ anymore.
Looks like the latest SOTG report shows promise for correcting a lot if the game imbalances and open up the map again for those who like to wander around and bump into Mr Bullet King and the like for some tasty loot. Maybe this thread will resurrect itself once patch 1.4 drops!

OK so the PTS is live and although I can't get in till Monday I have seen some vids of gameplay and I'm getting excited for this game again.
It will not be balanced for the top 1% of players anymore (this stat was their admission not my guess).
I think it looks bloody great and I cannot wait till Monday.
Here's a little bit of gameplay...

Well I got back onto this game yesterday, last time I was on it was before Underground. Heard good things about the 1.4 patch and what do you know, they were right!
Drop rates are better, re-rolling item stats costs less, the enemy bands works better.
I think it needs a re-visit ready for Survival's release for those of us with the season pass

Carmageddon should be getting delivered before the weekend, if that turns out to be st, I could be tempted to try a bit of Division, I did enjoy that, but got repetitive...
There is certainly no shortage of stuff to do. A new area with dynamically spawning NPCs, a kind of horde mode, survival (battle royale style game mode), underground (these last two require DLC purchase I think). More gear, different meta entirely - auto rifles and LMGs seem to be the thing now. There are lots of weekly and daily missions/tasks to complete which give you gear caches which generally give you good rewards. High Value Target contracts and probably lots of other stuff I'm forgetting.Carmageddon should be getting delivered before the weekend, if that turns out to be st, I could be tempted to try a bit of Division, I did enjoy that, but got repetitive...
If, like many others, you weren't a fan of the DZ, there really is no reason to go in there anymore. There are bosses to farm in the light zone now. Admittedly, they don't respawn for a couple of hours but, even so. Even Div tech can be acquired by dismantling gear or opening caches.
It's just nice to have a good co-op game to jump into with all the usual reprobates.
