Just purchased smile

After finding out last night I could put my old GT Legends CD code into Steam and it appears in my library, a Steam rFactor code ordered and Medieval II TW added to my library (plus Kingdoms added for free) via my CD key. I am a happy steam man today. smile

Me too, cheers for the heads up VTEC.

Alfas & the Ring, rude not to! And as of yesterday, a GTX970 to play it on smile

To put you in the right frame of mind - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C-edLvr4Mv8

We already have the BMW, so the new Merc and the Alfa will make it a great recreation.

I have to say that is what I am most looking forward to. Hopefully change a few of those GT3 lobbies online to classic DTM biggrin

Am I right in thinking that those of us that had AC from way back and were Beta Testers get the DLC for free?

Just what I was wondering, I purchased it Christmas 2013 so I'm hoping that it's free.

I was wondering the same but I haven't seen any mention of it anywhere now

Yeah, hence asking - I thought that us guinea pigs got free stuff.

Interesting. I was in on the very early pre-release too. I don't mind paying though, as I feel £30 for the full game is too little for a sim that's taken so much time and effort. I just wish they'd put more racing cars in - we don't even have a Formula Ford yet and Netkar (AC's predecessor) had two!

I think we need to start up the time trials again.

It was really fking frustrating brilliant chasing those final 100ths and then seeing everyone's times up on RSR Live Timing.

I think you ended up getting the intended DLC (e.g. Spa) integrated into the game.

On a different note, has the handling changed at all recently? I've been playing with the Formula Abarth after some time away from the game, and it seems to have got easier/more forgiving, as in I crash less and still get quite good times without too much trouble. I'm a long way off my previous bests so maybe it's that, but it feels a bit different.

Also all the RSR data seems to have been lost recently. I'm up for a little competition though. Name a car and track. I suggest the Formula Abarth, but anything will do - maybe not the proper pain in the arse cars like the RUF though.

Yeah - they've been refining the handling and tyre models in each update. Some cars are faster, some slower.

Is this game only available via Steam? Not used it before, any problems I should know about?
Yes. They have lots of really good sales so you end up buying more games than you can play.

Ah - is that why the RSR data was wiped? I added another paragraph to that post while you were replying.

Nah - I like the race cars - GT2s for example. The RUFs and the hyper cars are great for mucking about in but a royal PITA to try and hone laps in.

Agreed - that's why I've been enjoying the Formula Abarth, although it spoils you in terms of late braking and ease of gear change.

GT2 will probably work, so set a challenge & no doubt people will have a stab at it.

All right then - BMW GT2 around SPA.

Load up to RSR for 'Pro' verification.

Perhaps we can run them for a week - Sunday Midnight as a cut off - this first one we'll add the extra few days on as I expect it to be very competitive.

Cool - I can ask the RSR folk to set us up an event if it gets enough interest.

I wouldn't mind throwing my hat into this ring (well, Spa) - what is RSR though? I'm new to this PC racing lark.
