The M3 is the best to drift for me, after a fair amount of practice I can get 20000 points on the drift challenge
The drift E30? That was the car I mastered it in! The tuned RX7 is also surprisingly good at it. I managed over 50,000 points in the RX7, which isn't too shabby.Rawwr said:

No just the standard E92. Just about enough power and a really nice balance. The Ruf Yellowbird was surprisingly good too!Don't forget that, at least on the PC, Assetto Corsa is a pretty realistic sim. The cars handle very much like they do in real life. If you're used to console games such as GT5 or Forza, then AC may feel a little weird at first, especially if you're not using a steering wheel and pedals. Give it time, because personally I find that even putting realism to one side, sims like Assetto Corsa, GPL, netkar etc are much more rewarding in the long run than games that just approximate driving.
Yeah, you do need an understanding of the physics involved to be able to drift well. Luckily, the E30 drift car is really easy to learn in and it's best to do learn on the Drift circuit before trying the others.
As you come out of the pits on the Drift circuit, head down to that first long, even radius U-bend as that's the best place to get the hang of it. You'll only need 2nd gear for it.
It's really hard to explain in words what to do but...
Take a centre line towards it and as you get closer, err towards the left-hand side. Then, when you think you can clear the bend (and this will be a reasonable distance before you get to the bend), turn-in sharply as you snap off the throttle. This will most definitely cause the rear end to come around. Don't bother applying power and trying to maintain the drift, just focus on catching the car with opposite lock without braking or throttle.
Once you can reliably catch it, you can then start doing runs where you're applying throttle as you're winding in the opposite lock. I'm sure on the first few attempts you'll probably spin out but it's just a question of practice and getting a feel for balancing what your right foot is doing in relation to your steering input. You can happily maintain a drift around that bend in 2nd without using full throttle.

I can drift far better in real life so its not that realistic. Should be able to do it in anycar base settings not a drift specific mode or track. There feels a lack of grip on turn in when racing and the cars are far from chuckable. In pcars the road cars are crap but the e30 is brilliant and the physics feel spot on till its lost grip.
To me it seems like the steering ratio is to low. The options for setting the feedback are not detailed enough but hopefully someone will find a balance.

Graphics are fine but you do get screen tearing on complex tracks, sounds are ok but for me pcars or dirt rally have better sounds.
It snaps back after oversteer just as sharp on a wheel, but my main issue is the understeer and lack of movement trial braking. the front end even on slicks is not sharp enough. Understeer city or drive so slow it like your not racing.
