Just had my first few laps in the 962c and it's one of those 'all good fun until someone gets hurt' kinda cars. Trail-braking is very much the order of the day.

So today Porsche pack 2, the red pack and a game update all went live on PS4.

Having great fun thrashing about in the wide variety of cars. Certainly a big change from the old Maserati 250 that feels like it's on ice to the current Porsche LMP1 car that feels like it's glued to the track.

The Porsche GT3 is awesome and the Lamborghini is a right hoot to drive.

The Maserati 250 v12 is hilarious as the back wheels want to overtake the front haha!

The force feedback also seems improved too and makes drifting easier.

If you have a PS4 and a t300rs wheel this game is amazing!

Reminder about this thread (AC Weekly challenge), be good if we can revive it. Any interest?

I'm currently loving the classic Porsche 718 smile Yes, it's very slow, but the handling is lovely. The 917K is a nice challenge, and I was hotlapping it at the ring and Brands GP the other day. My favourite of the new Porsches in AC is probably the 911 RSR though; just enough power to be interesting and very involving handling without being unpredictable. It's everything I'd hoped a sorted classic 911 would be. These recent Porsche packs have been a foray away from the single seaters that I normally drive exclusively. I have to say though, the night before last I had a go in the Lotus 49 around the ring and I think I'm back into the single seaters again driving

Maserati Quattroporte
Audi TT MY17

Ferrari 250 Testarossa
McLaren F1
McLaren 675LT

That confirms their departure from their motorsport roots frown

9 new cars
Just 1 racing car (787b) and 1 motorsport homologation special (GTO)
No single seaters

NetKar (what AC was born from) was just so good that it's a shame that AC, even though it's amazing and I love it, have pretty much ceased development of racing cars.

There's quite a good version of Donington available at RaceDepartment to download, but it'd be great to have a laser scanned version as that's a track I race and test at in real life. smile

Woah! Slow down, Rob! There are way more cars coming this year, that's just the few which are known about!

For example, lots more from Lotus F1 stuff and there's another British manufacturer which is coming on board but nobody knows who yet.

If it's anything like the Cobra then I wonder if the Mazda 787b is the one currently available (last updated - Aug 24, 2015)

It's showing a clear trend though... I do hope the list isn't representative. yes

I wonder if we'll ever get my favourite car from NetKar, the FF1600?

Agreed sounds brilliant.

I look forward to see what 2017 brings. So another British manufacturer? Noble perhaps?

I would be up for the laptimes, it's basically why I bought the game biggrin

I'm surprised Caterham weren't in from the start. GT5 had a great superbike powered Caterham IIRC.

Hoping for some Jaguar or Aston Martin roadcars at some point but unsure if the rights to the mentioned cars are owned by other games.

How are you getting on? I was looking forward to taking this for a spin.
Its going pretty well - had to learn a lot about the texturing process but I'm finally getting there.

As its looking just now ingame now, starting to get some details done (brake glow, rim blur, carbon textures, working lights, digital instruments etc ect). Just looking to get the interior finished and can get it released.

Here's a couple of images from the modelling program, and a nice render smile

That's brilliant, how long has it taken to get to that stage?

Looking back at my first screenshots, they say 21st of October - so around 4 months. That includes starting from scratch on the physics side, as well as the model. The texturing was a first for me, so just learning that took some time, I'd no doubt save time if I were to do it again.

Next up once this is done is to finish these two up - both just need the interior done and texturing (which is what stopped me finishing them, I'll be able to do that now biggrin):

If anyone want a look at the latest progress^

Just need to do LODs (to improve fps) and wait till the SFX is finished, then its done and ready to release!

Also, a nice look at the track the held the Singapore Grand Prix back in the sixties!
