Batman: Arkham Knight
Discussion
Xbox user here, runs well. Put the disc in to be told it will be a 3.8gb update - on 2mbps broadband, that's like 4 hours!
Thankfully the 'ready to start' thing came up after just an hour and I managed to get 4 hours in last night.
Only complaint, controls for the batmobile. Incredibly unintuitive and the way it handles is woeful.

After an hour and a half play last night, i found the batmobile very train like, it stuck to the rails like it had been nailed there....unless you used the "power slide" option...yeah...no.Thankfully the 'ready to start' thing came up after just an hour and I managed to get 4 hours in last night.

I tend to fly about the map a LOT more, using the powered grapple to launch myself, easier to see where you are going and get there faster.
Good story and lots to find and do which is good, i also enjoy the detective murder investigation mini games.

I take it you keep hitting the left trigger for the brake too, only to find the car jumping into battle mode? Yup, that's irritating alright!Thankfully the 'ready to start' thing came up after just an hour and I managed to get 4 hours in last night.

I'm really enjoying this. It's incredibly pretty, as menacing as ever, and the combat has been refined slightly to the point of perfection. There's a challenge that sets you a target of getting a 50+ combo, which I spent 45 mins trying to do last night; Normally that would be controller through the window time, but I knew that it was my fault and I'd get there in the end. And I did
I do feel sorry for the PC guys, as it sounds like this is their version of our PCars. It's really not right, this was already delayed once to make it perfect. Hopefully they'll patch it soon for you lot, as it's truly brilliant.
The day one patch thing is just another reason why I'm glad I switched to digital releases for this gen. Even on my 40meg connection, that's still more of a wait than I'd want.

[smug] Hit a 98 combo first time round on that challenge [/smug]The bat car challenge however of destroying 10 cars in 2 minutes I spent 45 mins on hitting 9 twice and getting no where near it 10-20 times! Gave up when I realised it had gone midnight and I'll have to attempt it again when the car is upgraded.
From reading around this looks like an ungodly mess. Rockstar outsourced the port and it seems to have been a complete clusterfk.
Some 'advice' they have given out:

Avoiding it like the plague for now.

Been playing this alot since getting it on release, Currently trying to rescue Catwoman
As for the controls for the Batcar....woeful is an understatment.....but it doesnt detract from the game which is awesome! (Xbone user here)
Couple of glitches like falling through the map, but thats about it, really enjoying it at the moment and cant wait to find out who the Arkham Knight is lol

I tried the tank one where you need to get over 8000pts, I couldn't get anywhere near that. I'm guessing that I need to never get hit to get the top score on that though.
Yeah that one was tough. Spent ages only getting 4000. Managed one run not being hit once and got 16000 I tried the tank one where you need to get over 8000pts, I couldn't get anywhere near that. I'm guessing that I need to never get hit to get the top score on that though.

Hmm, wonder if it is anything to do with the new refund policy?
So downloaded this for PC yesterday, all 33.3gb of it.
How any one said "yes, lets start shipping this" I do not know! What a pile of ste!
Running on a Dell XPS17 with an i7, 16Gb ram, 3gb nvidia card and off a SSD. All drivers up to date. With all settings set to low and 1280 by 720 it still runs like crap. Used to running stuff at 1920 by 1080 and high settings.
Have been trawing the boards to see what tweaks work and it is just about playable, just. but not that enjoyable at that pace.
No wonder I could by it on launch day for £14 off CDKeys.
Love the franchise, even Origins but gutted I now have to wait for it to be fixed and patched.
