Yes you can - just not sure if it's considered rude to appear in someone's party - or just friendly/normal (given they have put their GT online in a dedicated thread)

Invite wise, just fire them out from the private lobby then it will find a game for you as a team. Was spamming ppl with invites this weekend to get a team together - makes it much more fun.

Game's ace, never been a big fan of online shooters (Mainly due to the angry 12 Y/O Situation on XBL) but this just seems to flow very naturally, you don't die ever second and I found after an hour I knew what I was meant to be looking for and fell into a groove of specialist using scout Titans. Hopefully a game with mates will be on the cards this weekend. Got the limited edition controller from GAME and the Art book, as its good inspiration for wargames terrain for my club UBER-

Anyone else having trouble connecting? When I sign in, the game cannot find a data centre which means I cannot play the game.

Yes me too, although for me i get to the loading screen but it wont load a game only played 3 games so far very frustrating

I haven't had a problem yet however the main issue seems to be there is no matchmaker system so one side can have 6 lvl 40+ and the other side 6 level -25 so you get walked over all the time. This is very frustrating when playing Capture the flag as one side is ioften a party of friends and the other just individuals so again you get railroaded.

Still great fun, but this is annoying if you are on the receiving end of a team 30 levels higher than you.

If you have trouble connecting - try pressing X and selecting the northern europe servers instead ( apologies if you have tried this already).

In the old days shooters used to track both "trueskill" and length of play...and award upgrades etc based on length of play, but do matchmaking based on "trueskill".

Titanfall would be much much more fun if they did this. All the Halo games used to do it.

Got to gen 2 last night; it's say's you're faster, tougher etc, but the only difference I noticed is that you level quicker?

Looking into it, you have to complete challenges to get to the next generations - should make it more interesting than simply hitting the prestige button.

Still loving this game but agree with the match making system needing some work.

I think the patch was applied a couple of days ago - the points for defense on hardpoint changed "live" when I was laying one night - one game I was getting 75pts for a hold then two games later it was 25 pts.

From this I have assumed that all the patching is done server side - has anyone recieved a titanfall download on their Xbox?

not here, according to the article the Azure / Cloud service meant the patching was done server side.

Which begs the question, if Titanfall can do it, why does it seem I have to update every ruddy game I play if I dare not play for a week?!

Absolutely loving the pace of this game. Played COD after and it felt sooooo slow in comparison. The pace of this reminds me of good old Unreal Tournament in insta-death laser mode.
