PH Forza 5 BTCC championship
Discussion
Before i start rambling on i just want to say that I'm pretty confident that one of the main reasons why we all like to race with other PH'ers is because of the frequent crashing and generally poor standards of driving that goes on in public lobbies.
In each series or organised race that i've done i've always asked players to treat each other with a bit of respect, wheel banging is inevitable as is the occasional crash. Personally, if i tt someone 99 times out of 100 i'll apologise and if they lose position because of it i'll wait and give them that position back. This happened in the first race when i hit GenePool.
In each race in this series i've bored you guys by repeating my request for clean racing.
Unfortunately after this weeks race i had complaints from 3 people regarding the way MattyVole drove in the first race. So yesterday when should have been working out the points table for the series i was trawling through the replays for both races. I've saved 2 in-game DVR clips from the first race replay and 1 from the second race replay.
In the replays what i saw was a display of public lobby racing and general disregard for the rest of us. In race 1 Matty was being caught by the Martini cars and when pilot EXTREMES attempts an overtake on the straight he first moves one way to block then back the other way and then back again, 3 blatant blocking moves and then when pilot finally gets alongside Matty moves across agressively. Later in the race when out of sight of any other cars he performs the most amazing cut on the second Mulsanne chicane. There are other incidents involving him and the Martini cars in which he's the aggressor.
There were no complaints about race 2 but i watched it anyway just in case race 1 was an isolated case. Matty got through fairly quickly but there was plenty of bumping from everyone as it was the first lap so nothing out of the ordinary until we get to the left right corner. Sharky Hughes moves right slightly to set up for the corner then brakes, Matty brakes late and fails to take Sharky (who is taking the racing line) into consideration and ends up smashing into the left hand side of Sharky pushing him off the track. Matty, now in 3rd, carries on regardless without offering an apology of any sort! That incident screwed sharky's race up and cost a couple of others (including me) a chance of a better position.
Never expected to have to write a post like this but that sort of driving has no place in my series and i'm not going to just sit back and watch people leave the series which is what will happen if i don't act.
As a result i've added 30secs to your finish time for the first race which moves you from 3rd down to 7th, this is for blatantly blocking on more than one occasion and cutting corners in such a blatant way. For the incident involving Sharky where you punted him off the track costing him several places then just carried on thus gaining an advantage i'm applying a 10sec penalty to your finish time which takes you from 1st down to 4th.
Matty, i realise by doing this i'll lose you from the series and possibly others who might feel i've acted harshly. I hope no one leaves but i'll just have to see what happens.
The full replays are shared by vocalexpert and the clips i've mentioned are available to look at on my upload thingy. Please at least check out my clips before passing judgement on me.
Anyone who knows me will know how difficult it was for me to have to do this.

I was so far back I had no idea this was happening at all.
In race 2 you put on one of the best displays of defensive driving I've seen on Forza. It took me 2 whole laps to get a clean move on you but you never blocked or stepped over the line once! GenePoolReject13 said:
Maybe punishment should be racing a week in my megane. So frustrating you will never bump into anyone again
Serious question, how would you guys feel about allowing a car "transfer window" from round 4 onwards?
Anyone who wants to change cars from then wouldbe allowed.
Thoughts please??

The RSX is still being worked on as I have a few niggles with it. It will also appear in a proper paint job next week too.
Verses the 07 Civic it seems to suffer in a straight line and a tiny bit less corner speed but its saving grace is its acceleration out of corners and off the line up to 120 mph. Downside of this is it can suffer torque steer.
