gt4 release date....again!

Ive just read that it will be reeleased in the uk on 14th December - minus the online mode, is this true? To be honest im so annoyed with all the conflicting information and delays ive a good mind not to buy it on principal. Whats the point of including 700 odd cars, when just one powerfull rear wheel drive car with realistic handling is all most of us want isnt it?

I wouldn't exactly call an Audi S4 'ordinary'. But the cars that will be will be the 40 version of a nissan Micra, or Toyota Corrolla

Ah, the good old racing mods in GT2. That was brilliant, is it back in GT4?
I love the crappy ordinary cars! on really tight tracks like motorsportsland it was great fun flogging a standard laguna 1.8 around. Also that Fiat 500, even with the turbocharger added it was still a slug, but fun to throw around. The Audi S4 was ok, looked geat, but really wasn't that much fun to drive, even maxed out, would've much preferred an original quattro 
the Nissan Micra Super Turbo was brilliant, once you fixed the handling and added a decent LSD to put the power down. The engine had torque everywhere and bugger all weight, was the only FWD I needed in proper competition. The Fiat Coupe Turbo was also a bit of a weapon and suprising good for a FWD. Also the little Kei cars i love them! not to mention the completely useless cars like the BMW 740i why they put that in I'll never know, then again I love throwing around a huge luxo barge or having stupid match up races with mates, two fiat 500s or something else ridiculous that will have you rolling around on the floor with laughter. I'm actually looking forward to taking a prius for a flog and trying to get a model T sideways. Any other game will give you supercars but its the crappy ones that keep me playing once I've finished the career mode.
The mega power RWD are good for a laugh, but the variety is what I like, if you want one powerful RWD car then go and get yourself a copy of Viper racing, a highly entertaining game, but variety is the spice of life.
Oh and they better not have a billion different minor versions of every skyline and silvia in existence either. They ain't that great, and aren't particularly fun to drive either, more weird, old, euro cars please.

I particularly like the classics from the 70's and 80's and seeing how they rate against the modern cars.

Don't forget the Midget D from GT2, hope this ones back. A classic 'too many beers' car to challage your mates with.
