You know what I do?
I talk to friends, make new friends, and sometimes play computer games!
Although I admit, the older I get, the less time I have for them.
(Friends, that is - I'll always have my precious computer games. They'll never dump me!!! Apart from that Xbox that time. Red Ring of Lesbian Death)

Do you think your lack of face to face social skills and knowledge of how to cope in real life is due to you spending too much time in front of a screen, or were you like this before being a hermit?
Do you think that switching off your electric devices for long periods of time and getting out into the real world would benefit you or would you prefer not to and are happier doing what you do now?
That applies to both of them I think.Do you think that switching off your electric devices for long periods of time and getting out into the real world would benefit you or would you prefer not to and are happier doing what you do now?

Theres no winners in this thread, only two losers.
I don't know. There was a misunderstanding, between two people of different situations (one busy traveller, and one unemployed resident)
The worst anyone can be accused of is taking things a little too seriously... Perhaps being insensitive to the other's situation.
There are far worse things people can do to each other. Hardly worth getting your knickers in a twist over.
Can someone direct me to the Video Games thread please, I seem to be stuck in the lounge! All a bit anticlimactic in the end.
I find it ironic that 226 and okgo are saying about the amount of time the OP spends in front of a screen vs real human interaction, when both seem to spend a lot of time here.

I've had similar happen to me. Best friends with a guy for years. He was in our social group and we all went on holiday together, spoke regularly etc. One day he rings me as normal, and I was a bit busy, so I said I'd call him back in 10 mins. Tried to call back, but no answer. Haven't spoken to him since! This was approaching 4 years ago now. Tried texting, e-mailing etc.
It gets even stranger though, as he deleted his Facebook, changed his number etc. It was driving me crazy not knowing what had happened. So I messaged a few of our mutual friends through Facebook. And it turns out they were going through the same thing! He as good as vanished off the face of the earth! Nobody has spoken to him, and it still confuses me to this day!

Either he got a new mrs that hates all of you and he was told to break contact, or he got arrested in some operation yew tree type thing. I'm voting for option 2.It gets even stranger though, as he deleted his Facebook, changed his number etc. It was driving me crazy not knowing what had happened.
