This was a lot funnier if you could hear what we were saying, but basically we were testing enduros against the Sanchez for speed, I threw a grenade for the customary start. We didn't realise Karl had already thrown one earlier, which set Jim and ned off, as they left I said 'errrr that's not my grenade' then boooom for Jim

Morning.
Right the thursday race playlist a couple of questions.
1- do you prefer more tracks and less laps or less tracks more laps
2- do you want off road tracks mixed in
3- we've had quite a few new lower ranked players joining in so everyone ok with racing custom off until they've upgraded there cars.
My plan was to pick the classes where the quickest cars are split by a second and avoid classes where there's 1 car massively quicker.

Unless the laps are really long (3+ miles) then I quite like 3-4 lap races. Gives you a chance to get into the groove but not so long you get bored. Longer races are usually better as 2 laps than 1 simply because if they're just 1 lap, they're basically point to point.
No problem with unmodified cars.
Off road tracks are fine - do you mean hardcore hill climbing and rock crawling in Sandkings though, or stuff which you could do in sports cars? If it's proper slow/don't drown/don't fall down stuff then that's probably not right for a playlist.

Off road as in more rally cross than rock climbing just to add a bit of variety and open up the use of biftas/blazers and dune buggy which are all within a second of each other, but they tracks would also be fine with sultans or kurumas. No problem with unmodified cars.

I think custom off cars should be standard.
Not everyone has the same garage contents so keeping the car's equal makes for a much more fun racing experience than watching the one or two who happen to have the maxed for class stuff dissapear into the distance.
I've played races where half the field actually DNF due to the odd couple in 100% modded personal cars finishing so fast. The other night that hardly happened when we were all in the same car choice. Very close (and banging ) racing is way more fun.

That would of been a nightmare in the lawnmower race if people dnf'd.Not everyone has the same garage contents so keeping the car's equal makes for a much more fun racing experience than watching the one or two who happen to have the maxed for class stuff dissapear into the distance.

Any thoughts on more laps less tracks vs more tracks less laps?
