This is how my muscle car race went on Sunday : https://youtu.be/Cri4jkT35lw
First one was my fault, sorry Zed!

Ha. Just setting expectations
It's no joke. We did a 9 race event last night which resulted in 6 DNFs, 2 last places and a last but one for me. Horrible.I only started on GTA Online 2 days ago so my character is only level 10 or so. If you want to go through some of the ranking up missions together then that would be cool (PSN: crockostimpy). There is a steep learning curve with this game - there's so much to take in.
There's nearly an hour of footage uploaded to YouTube but it's a faff to link on my phone.

As for the newcomers, we could do a series with standard (non-modded) cars to level the playing field. I've wanted to try an Electric series with Voltics, Khameleons, Surges and Dilletantes, would that interest you fellas?

A couple of nights ago we ran a race for stock Voltics which aside from being weird with no engine noise was actually not a bad race. Just no one try and reverse the whole race....As for the newcomers, we could do a series with standard (non-modded) cars to level the playing field. Cost me a fortune in headhunter money that did, not to mention fecking insurance!
I've got to try and get a million before Xmas!
I thought racing stock cars was good as it makes you choose something you don't normally use. I think we should do it again on Sunday. I don't think we need to stick to electric vehicles though.
I know stimpy was a bit peed off, but we've all done thousands of races so are used to it. Just brake less ! You'll pick it up soon enough, or at least you'll go fast enough to crash like we do!

If new players want to get the hang of racing a bit better, a good idea to pick a good track you like and a car then do time trials.
Stick it up on here and others will have a go too and post videos of their lap, then you can pick up hints and tips from it.
Keep aiming to beat your time and you'll soon learn the ins and outs of how the cars drive

most of it is probably just learning the tracks... and that you can't go flat around every corner... Stick it up on here and others will have a go too and post videos of their lap, then you can pick up hints and tips from it.

yes, a few electric stock races would be cool to do!
Yes, thats also very true.
Having a good knowledge of the map used to be an excellent advantage in racing as if you knew the road you were on you could always know a track without ever racing on it before (assuming the check points were well placed!). However, now with the stunt track being used its not quite so easy any more.
Just learning how a car will react to certain conditions etc is key really, and obviously as time goes on, building up a knowledge of each car

Still not sure which genius suggested racing in the snow in vehicles with no brakes, traction, grip or handling to speak of !
