Project Cars Weekly TIme Trail
Discussion
in game options, you can set lap info to On, then configure a button to scroll through to get sector times. We usually say default setup to level the playing field, but nobody has been shot over it yet as it's just for fun anyway. Welcome aboard shakyjake.
Anybody here use transducers/buttkickers for extra feel/feedback? I've decided not to go VR just yet having tried it out, so instead I'm getting my shake on. I've spotted some cheap dual channel amps and bodyshaker speakers on amazon, total £128 with just simvibe software and a yoga mat to reduce vibration needed on top (I hope). All in should come in about £200.

Not sure if I've done it right as their aren't any sector times?
I didn't know spa was on Pcars until I read this thread! I eventually worked out how to change the set up in time trial, it takes a while!
Raced at spa last year although not in a Porsche :-P some minor differences in the track but nothing major, still enjoyable.
Done on PC with G27 if someone could add it to the list please?

It updates every hour so sometimes you need to wait, but hover the mouse over your time and your sector times will pop up.
Ps. We don't change the setup for time trials.
OK guys, Overclockers have said I'm still leading the VR championship, for now. Would be great if some of you guys could get into the top5 with me. The next round (top5 qualifiers) is a day at PalmerSports. Surely that's worth a trek out to overclockers hq?
To emulate the setup:
10 lap solo race, rolling start no opponents, Oulton Park International, ABS only (no TC/SC), I'm trying to find out about tyre/fuel wear, but I didn't see any tyre wear and was half a second up on fastest lap on lap9 so I don't think it's switched on.
Come on guys, lets see if we can get a cracking day out on Joleon Palmer's dad/overclockers

I'll give it a go but if I have to go past the midlands another time I will kill myself. To emulate the setup:

what's the point, fastest lap out of 10 laps or most consistent? or total time?
does it have to be 10 lap race, not 10 laps on time trial?
Fastest lap...out of the 10. I don't know why they set it up as a solo race rather than TT, but that is what I think the competition setup is. The Palmer day is about a grand normally. I'm not the fastest here and I'm still top of the table at the mo so it's an opportunity...
I was born and raised in Wolverhampton, but you're right about the midlands, you drive up the M6 to Birmingham and it just feels grey and depressing.

By the end of Friday I'll have driven up and back from Liverpool 5 out of 9 work days. 420 miles a pop.
Around Birmingham just kills me every day.
Above that it's not too bad lol
Holy crap that's a commute and a half. Yeah M6 car park, between 10-7 on southbound side is especially bad...when i worked in Coventry I left the house at 6:30 and the traffic could still be slow sometimes. Nightmare bit of road.Around Birmingham just kills me every day.

they have timeslots in the week so see if you can get one when you're coming down past J15 anyway, stop for a rest and a crack.

Yeah it seems like it's 24/7 busy.they have timeslots in the week so see if you can get one when you're coming down past J15 anyway, stop for a rest and a crack.
To be fair heading north in the mornings and south in the evenings seems the right balance as I often see the M40 and M6 absolutely packed in the opposite direction.
If I finish early on Friday and have time I may call up and enquire. I'm just finishing my Donalds dinner (fking long drives) and then I'll hop on and see what my times are.
In the Ginetta GT4 was it?
There is a thread at the top of the video games forum section with all the details Pearcy....and it's on overclockers website and forum. It's on quarterly into next year. This session runs until end of November.
http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&a...
You only get 10 laps per session, one session allowed per day.
I've done a few runs and I think my best laptime will be near a 1:36.5, judging by the fact I'm 0.5-1 second off the quickest here in ttt runs. It's possible the best times could be in the 1:35's
My 1:37.7 is still top after a week, but there is still a long way to go yet.

Had a quick go this afternoon before I had to go to work, what a tricky car but quite controllable. Can't remember the times but they weren't very good, 2:00 something and I was on a good lap about 2 seconds up and just put a wheel over I'll have another go tonight when I get in and post the time if I improve
