I would expect these kind of offers later on in the game's life cycle, but not before the first DLC is even launched.
Shortsighted moves like this will come back to bite DICE and EA - who will bother signing up for early Premium on the next game? I won't be, that's for sure!
Really?? From EA??Shortsighted moves like this will come back to bite DICE and EA - who will bother signing up for early Premium on the next game? I won't be, that's for sure!
I can rarely afford a season pass so I tend to buy DLC separately. Having done this for BF4 I have paid £8 more for the DLC than a premium pass holder and I'm fine with this. But even now 3 years and 3 months after release, and despite me owning the majority of the content they still want 39.99 for me to get the unique premium content.
If they let me upgrade for, say, £8 then I would happily pay but I'll be buggered if I'm paying £40 for stuff I already have.
This is EA all over. "We have your money now f**k off"

One of the chaps i play with is about rank 50 ish but mentioned he had never played operations mode. I said i would refuse to play with him unless we had a squad of 4+ who i know personally as it can be a right mess with a crap team and no fun at all!
for me its a shame they have ruined the lone wolf game. I used to love on 3 and 4 playing as part of a squad and we would regularly win it (great bunch of PHers) but there was also fun in lone wolfing it too. Now in BF1 they are forcing you to team up and its lost its switch on and have fun element. That and getting onto a game is fking impossible stillI got a few in the tank on PS4 the other day, check the guy at about halfway through who turns the corner straight under the tracks

Why do you use gas grenades? Generally I find that my team using them hampers me more than the enemy. Incendiary grenades are much more useful, IMO. They can finish off people who duck into cover after taking a shot from you, can deny access to areas and act as a smoke screen if you need to avoid being seen/shot when out of cover.
I'm not a gas grenade fan either!
I'm also a bit late to the party but have just started with the Martini Henri.
Love the noise that thing makes howvere watching some videos of people using it on youtube, when they switch to the pistol to finish someone off the change over is super quick.
It seems to take a long time for me to swap to sidearm and vice versa.
Do different sidearms have different draw times?

Here's a link to a strange one I had the other night on Argonne Forest.

The bloke in front of me died weirdly and then those two seem to just appear from nowhere.
That map is the hardest for me to spot people at the best of times, never mind when they just appear from nowhere!

You're right they can be a pain for the team but I've found them better than incendiaries in groups of enemies - incendiaries stop quite quickly when the enemy goes prone and they are then free to ADS. most people struggle putting the gas mask on quickly and then suck at hip firing.

For me the reasons are;
- Area Suppression.
- Play Ops and Conquest mainly so it's good for telling you where someone is on an objective or telling you which way someone is approaching from.
- Acts a bit like smoke but will also tell you if someone is in there via hitmarkers.
- Incendiary are much easier to combat, you just go prone.
- Yes they can put a mask on but it leaves them at a huge disadvantage when facing someone without one.
- By the time they have a mask on they've usually been hit with one or two waves of gas, leaving them on 70-80 health maximum.
- The second biggest reason is that there is two of them.
- The main reason is (as I run support a lot) the resupply timer on them seems to be very short compared to all the other grenades.
I have started to stray away from it though as I'm pretty embarrassed by the fact that my fourth highest amount of kills is with them!

Only if they're stupid enough to run into a gas cloud without a mask on, surely?
The boundaries on the damage area are larger than the on screen gas visual, plus you dont know if its friendly (no damage) or enemy (damage) until you see the red pulsing grenade. Even one tick of little (outer edge) damage, still shows on the screen.
You'd be surprised. They are also really good at racking in points, as everyone seems to ignore gas until they are at 50% or so health for some reason.

Funnily enough I've tried out the smelly infantry tonight using the radium sight. 1 hour use so far. 79 kills and 48.8% accuracy. Good rifle.
