Yes, includes a new map.

I have an annoyance where on some of the weapon challenges, my kills don't register. (IE: Get 15 kills in a round with weapon X - One stays stuck on zero, another says I have 13 kills as soon as the round starts, but doesn't alter).

on Sunday I finally completed all the gun weapon unlocks from "they shall not pass" - yay woohoo now working through the 300 kills on lvl 10 guns and 2 melee items (cogwheel club and nail knife)

I think the issue with the counter is if you had previously managed say 4/15 kills in a round.... it remembers that until you get a better round.

I'm just pleased I don't have to get headshot kills with the mp18 optical anymore smile

v1.12 update (08212017) just appeared on my machine, 6.8GB

Just thought I'd warn you in case you want to jump on for a quick online game anytime soon.

I haven't had chance to play yet but apparently they still haven't fixed basics like some of the lighting issues when transitioning from indoors to outdoors etc. I can't find release notes for it so no idea what it's actually supposed to add.
Biggest annoyance of mine, Especially on maps like Soissons!!!!

the new update included a new map from the upcoming expansion for premium owners didn't it?
Yes, a new map, Lupkow Pass, I can't get on it, matchmaking fails or the quick play option takes me to another map entirely despite it being showcased as the new one on the main page of the game.

They seem to have introduced a weird bug when trying to spawn in a plane where it delays the spawn, the spawn turns to a red circle as if you can't spawn there and then a few seconds later you spawn. Some of the weapons also seem to be firing fresh air instead of bullets if my experience of pumping 5 shotgun rounds into someone with no effect is anything to go by.

AA guns seem to have had their range reduced back to how it was before the last update but that could just be me not being as hot on AA as I was previously smile

Release notes are:

Maps and modes

Fixed issue where tank spawns would get blocked by soldiers on Amiens.
Fixed issue where released pigeon prompt would not go away. Pesky pigeons!
Fixed issue where a vehicle could not spawn in Operations for attackers on Mountain Fort. Added Frontlines to Monte Grappa and Ballroom Blitz.

Spectator

Fixed issue where some VFX for the trench periscope would show in 3p mode for spectators.
Fixed issue where the ammo count for the current weapon and grenades was incorrect when spectating someone on a horse.
Fixed issue where spectators would see all scores as 0 in End of Round screen.
Fixed a bug where certain 2d overlays from vehicles would show in tabletop or free cam. Reduced area where spectator camera could fly on Verdun.

Weapons

Stationary MGs will no longer deal damage to nearby players when destroyed.
Fixed issue where the receiver of a bayonet charge would not get an audio cue before being hit.
Fixed issue where a 3p soldier would continue to yell (as if they were charging) after the charge was cancelled.
Fixed issue where single-fire or semi-auto weapons could have part of their firing sound cut off if the player switched weapons immediately after firing.
Synchronized weapon firing/muzzle flash correctly to bullet firing and damage screen to improve correctness of replicated bullet logic.
Fixed issue that could cause weapon loadout UI to disappear under certain conditions.

Vehicles

Airplane rocket crosshair should no longer be faded.
Increased the turn speed of the horse by 25% while standing still.
Triggering a reload while galloping on the horse will no longer cause the horse to stop sprinting.
Horses automatically jumping over obstacles should now be much more reliable.
Fixed an animation bug where the reload animation would play when it shouldn’t have after getting on a horse.

Rent-a-server

Fixed the issue that updating the VIP or Moderator list causes map rotation to discard map vote result and return to the first map.
Fixed an issue where pre-round countdown would not start when players switch team.

Spawning experience

Squad spawning improvements to reduce spawning into enemies.
Minor tweaks to minimize the “Spawn Train” effect.
This is a first part of a bigger initiative to solve squad spawning issues.

UI

Fixed issue with End of Round scoreboard reordering Premium Trials/Premium Friends players.
Fixed navigation issue on Codex screen
Mouse scrolling now works amongst awarded ribbons on the end of round screen
Platoon tags are now correctly displayed for players already on the game server when searching for platoons
Player’s K/D ratio is no longer shown as the squad’s KD ratio on the End of Round screen
Service stars for stationary weapons are now correctly shown as awarded in End of Round screen
An error is no longer shown after joining a newly added friend from the Com Center
Performance improvements to the whole UI and in particular to the Codex and Weapons & Gadgets screens.

Options

Add Network Smoothing Option inside Advanced Gameplay Options for low ping players.
Added gameplay profile option to select whether on spawn the minimap should be reset to the default zoom or the last zoom state.
Implemented optional combined map zoom (on press) / big map (hold) functionality in a single button mapping.
Added a new option under Controls->Basic to switch between a toggle or hold for sprinting with the horse.
PC – In the keybindings screen mouse mappings are now shown as icons.

Network

Added fix to prevent late damage effects from lossy high ping connections.
Fixed Vegetation destruction delays.
Fixed vehicle destruction so that transition to destroyed state happens flawlessly, this was particularly bad for airplanes when getting destroyed mid-air.
Prevent stacking damage and suppression from high ping players.

Other

Fixed an issue where picking up an enemy soldier’s kit would cause the player to start speaking the enemy team’s language.
Added DX12 MGPU support.
Spectating players are no longer prompted with a kicked message when leaving the game server
Fixed issue with party member receiving in invite to play on the current game server

i wish they just fixed the ability to be able to join friends in a game from the friends list and not fk you off that you have to input the server no. just to join.

Also new map = dull sniper fest

Agree with you on the friend/squad join issue. Still some bits to iron out there.

Liking the new map though. Sniping is clearly an issue with this map as you say. Needs at least 1 bike and 1 troop transporter as the games do seem last longer then normal due to the amount of hill humperslaugh.

Think its been the only time that ive turned off the game due to boredom was playing that new map. admittedly i didnt like the old new 1st night map but this one is dull.

Planes = Pointless as the flags dont show up all that well and the flying area is so small

Trees are sparse and so snipers can just sit on the skirts of the map and pick you off

I quite like it, but playing the same map over and over again bores me.

I think the Russian side is at a disadvantage with snipers, as you can be backed into G & F and they will all be perched along the ridges around D overlooking F. So you're forced to either engage, or fight your way down to E. I think there is a canyon that provides some cover and heads towards C too.

I haven't had it on for a few days but fancied a quick go (after the disappointment of failing to get the behemoth medal in the time available I've been sulking) - unfortunately v1.13 is here and 10.128GB so I've no chance now.

Be warned smile

New plane out today apparently. Will spin the Xbox up later and get what will no doubt be another huge update downloaded.

I'm off for the rest of the week so might get a few decent games in.

Will be giving the new Tsar expansion a go this evening. I've had some epic games on the new Lupkow (especially those central flags) and some horrendously bad games - let's see how the other maps go. New weapons and vehicles will be a welcome change and I could do with some more challenges.....never did manage that 25 Limpit mine kills one though.

Server maintenance and outages should all be done by now according to press release.

I managed a quick play, some of the new maps are OK, one I'm not so keen on as it's yet another where you seem to just follow the enemy around capturing the flags they have just captured and then repeat, a new "tank" thing that's really weird to drive and operate and then all the new perks, unlocks etc to aim for, they have also taken the 110 limit off.

Had a quick play last night and despite being fairly open maps, it wasnt a sniper fest like the last one.

Some of the new gun assignments seem abit harsh - shoot down 2 planes with an mg to get a new gun was one that stuck out the most to me.

Also theyve brought back the 'perk's' which annoys me a bit as i liked the simplicity of BF1 in that you didnt have to have a perk to counter a perk etc.

And it was fairly lag free = fking result

Couple of questions from someone who only really dips into BF1 for an hour every couple of days, only play conquest. I've been finding more recently that when a new round is loading up, by the time my screen comes up and offers me to deploy, most of my team are already halfway across the map or worse all bases have already been taken and the scores are well up over 50 kills per side.

I'm on fibre broadband getting 75Meg but have to run the xBox on wireless so I assume this isn't helping? I generally choose servers manually, selecting ones in Ireland that show a good Ping score... should i just use matchmaking instead?

Also... Is the Premium worth a try for someone who isn't massively into challenges, spending time only trying for headshots or using a pistol etc? I literally just want to pick up the game, kill stuff for an hour, then turn it off, but I am now getting bored of the standard maps!

Cheers smile

some of our guys have that, not sure what causes it tbh as sometimes ill be one of the first to load in and so get a vehicle, but say 5% of the time ill load in after everything is gone.

Is premium worth it? Depends on if you intend to get all of the map packs or not or if £40 means much to you or not, ie if your going to buy lots of games then no i wouldnt bother, if BF1 is the only game youll play then yes it is

My map load times seem to vary quite a bit, have never worked out any correlation to ping/time of day. I wouldn't say it's normal to consistently join after the first flag has been captured though!

You'll get a ton of new maps immediately if you get Premium - 6 Russian + 6 French? Something like that. A whole host of new weapons too. PLus early access for the next expansion. Seems reasonable for £40 for me.

What I absolutely do not get.....who the hell pays £40 for the "Short cut bundle"? The fun is in achieving the rewards, not getting the credit card out. What is the point.

Love the DLC maps apart from Tsaritsyn which is too small and has the cursed 3 flags like suez did on release. Only thing going for it is grabbing the Sentry Kit (Perosa) and going on a mahoosive kill streak!

Albion or Galicia are the 2 stand outs for me.

I like the small close in fighting map but cant stand the field map with the train track. EVen in the plane i just find it so dull and seems to have the most amount of players dropping out
