The November update sorts out a fair few of my gripes, the transparent markers have been sorted, ammo pouches work again (but I still wish people would equip crates) and general play just feels better.
Best of all you can spot from miles away in planes again and become an aerial sniper. Loads of other bits done, a new operations mode that I did today and liked etc etc.

If you've stopped playing because it's been annoying you give it another whirl.

I stopped playing it about a month after it was released. Been away for a while.
How do you spot on pc?
Q I think, your cross hairs have to be right on them though. How do you spot on pc?
You should be able to map it to anything you like though, I haven't played on PC since BF2 but even then you could set a spare mouse button or another key.
Thanks. I invested in a gaming mouse with multiple buttons so I've mapped the scroll wheel options to the spotting. Quite useful once I've memorised the setup. I have pretty much everything I need on the mouse.
Had a late night on it last night. Did crap on some maps, finished second in the team on one and got to drive the train on another. Can't do plane flying at the moment as I need to setup my Xbox pad for this. Difficult to fly with mouse a keyboard.
I'm enjoying it a lot more than I did last year.
Unlocked an optical SMG in the support class which is fun. Been playing a lot of support and medic. Quite good supplying team mates and patching them up etc. K/d ratio doesn't bother me as its not the aim of the game (I die a lot anyway).
Had a funny map last night. Its the one in the dark which is small in the grand scheme of things and full of mud. For the first the mins both teams followed each other around taking the points. Bit like Benny hill!

That always is amusing, until you and a few others notice... turn around to try and defend the last flag and get steam rolled by 25 enemies Did one of the operations for the new battlepacks last night and it reminded me why it can be brilliant or horrible..... 1st 6-8 flags we all pushed and took ground it was brilliant, under a barrage of fire and snipers but the last few we had to take to win the operation was terrible. 10-15 on our team were just sniping so the 10 or so of us actually trying to take the flags were getting plummled.
I did end with a positive k/d ratio but operations is not something you can play if you care about your k/d!

I played the Russian operations for the battlepack, thinking youd get something awesome - nope some stty skin and a puzzle piece for a knife
Did the same last night with a friend Still we got 2 wins under our belts, which was good!Starting to play this a little more now so if i see you on i will join you, getting slightly less useless after not playing properly for a few months!
you need to get on the mic in our chat groups, warning - its not very PC but its all friendly. That way if theres more than 5 of us on, the person not mic'd up gets booted out of the squad.
Sometimes if we realise someone has slipped in on the quiet ill or someone will join them in a squad if theres no space

I used to run ammo crate but after realising that you can lob a bag at players from a bit of distance and it pretty much insta fills your inventory, it kind of makes the crate a little pointless. The same applies for the medic class as well. lemmingjames said:

I've played them through twice, so 2 battlepacks but I really don't like the flat Galicia map or the Volga river one - the two starting maps. Have gone back to frontlines until they swap them over.on a separate note - only 4 guns left to unlock and 2 are easily achievable this week:
5 more gasser kills for the 1900 slug
30 more heilregel kills for the defensive version
destroy a vehicle with k bullets for the valtieri carbine
shoot down 2 planes with lmg's for the last LMG
that's until a new load of guns arrive in the next dlc
