Someone on Silph Road posted this, only four(!) players to take down Articuno.

Hmmm... Four x level 40 players mind you.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JhrYEjkAAKY
I've had a good run out of the 1/3 distance eggs, hatched a chansey with a load of candies, and then two togepi in a row. So that's now a blissey and togetic within buddy walking distance.
Buddy candy also 1/3 distance at the moment, although that probably ends tomorrow too with the double XP???

It ends tonight (well, 1am tomorrow).
I've been grinding a lot during this event, will probably take a break after this is over... well until Moltres comes out
Yellow berries on Pidgeys, Weedles and Catapies?I've been grinding a lot during this event, will probably take a break after this is over... well until Moltres comes out
I might just about have enough for 2 lucky eggs, with all the other assorted stuff I've collected along the way.

Finally got a Hitmonchan this morning, so I now have everything from Gen 1 except the Regional and Legendary ones.
Of what I can walk for Gen 2, I need a couple more Pineco candies, about 90 Mareep candies, and then to hatch a willing Tyrogue for Hitmontop.
I will also need an Unown, Girafig and Milktank.
But I'm getting there...

I had a great lunchtime session today - my first day in London for a few weeks as I've been on holiday.
Loads of Unown (I htink I can spell Europe) and loads of Kangaskhan (I think I have some very good IV ones - will check later). And then, to top it off, a wild Forretress appeared as I was by St Paul's Cathedral.
But I am having problems capturing the legendaries. I have several Articuno, and Zapdos on one account. But no Moltres so far (problem with being away for a few weeks). And Lugia has now run away from me every single time on 12 separate occasions! Thankfully the event has been extended for a couple of weeks to give me more chance.

I am actually hoping they don't bring out MewTwo raids immediately - they sound even harder work than the current legendaries and might be just enough to make me quit the game.
I have finally got all the current legendaries on both (sons') accounts but they took a lot of effort, particularly Lugia where I had 1/9 successful catches on each account.
The Unown and Kangaskhan event was briefly interesting. I've almost got a complete Pokedex - just Ampharos (and some region specific) to go, I think. I could do with a few weeks of just waling and catching stuff. Although londonpogomaps having finished is a real pain as that was great for hunting down the rare stuff where I would otherwise have passed close by without knowing.

I think I'm going to have to settle for shadows in the Pokedex for the legendaries.
I've managed to be in the right place to win an Articano raid, but didn't catch it. That gave me a shadow, and apparently if you complete a raid (even losing) you get the shadow.
I'm rural, so the chances of having 10 people together to take one down is slim to none.
I have an Ampharos, Girafig, Milktank, Unown and Hitmontop to go, from the normal stuff.

I know the feeling! We created a local Facebook/messenger group to assist in alerting trainers and organising times etc, works a treat. Why not give that a try?I've managed to be in the right place to win an Articano raid, but didn't catch it. All but given up now. A trip to Madeira gave a welcome Magikarp & Dratini/Dragonair boost (something like 400 Magikarp and 75 Dratini candy - didn't see a Pidgey all week!) but since then I've not seen one single new Pokemon in the wild and I've not seen a raid I'd be interested in for weeks; they are either ones I already have or are 20,000+ XP and there's no-one else about to help.
I try to maintain my streaks (how about some notification on streak length, Niantic?) but there are some days I don't even bother. I don't see me getting 715,000 XP to make it to the next level any time soon!

I've done the same - I'm a member of a couple of messenger/whatsapp groups to help organise raids. I've got all the legendaries as a result - wouldn't have had a hope if I'd just turned up at raids and hoped for the best.Gassing Station | Video Games | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
